Villa Dar Lghzal Private Villa with Garden, Rooftop & Authentic Dining in Rabat

We had a really good time in this accomodation and enjoyed our stay in Rabat. We especially loved the rooftop, where we could dine and hang out. The contact man was very caring. If there was any minor issue, he fixed it. We would really recommend this stay!!

Good size place with a nice terrace and hot tub.

The bathroom is awkward to use.

Common areas were nice and comfortable, rooms are very traditional, with enough space for six people.

There were little open windows on the wall of the rooms that didn’t allow to be completely isolated from the noise and sunlight of the common areas. In addition the traditional bath was very nice but a bit dangerous to get in. The fridge wasn’t very cold and were not able to regulate the temperature.

I liked everything about this place. Location is perfect, walking distance from Beach, old market, local cafés, banks. Host has good communication . The whole place is private, secure, and easy access. It can comfortably accommodate 4 adults and 2 kids. The living area is spacious . Beautiful rooftop, jacuzzi, pool, and garden. We liked the local manager (M Abderrahmane), who was friendly and helpful when the jacuzzi heater was broken. He also provided us with some good recommendations of places to see. The host is based in France, and we didn't see him. The room we stayed in was good - very comfortable bed, and the property was generally very clean and tidy, with enough in the kitchen to manage too. The house is located in a very untouristy area - we were the only non-locals we saw in the area whilst we were there - it gave an authentic feel to Rabat, which we really liked. It's busy during the day, but quiet at night. Although there are views from the roof terrace, the house is set below the road, so there aren't any views from the single storey house, but the courtyard is nicely covered and you aren't particularly overlooked, although tall buildings surround you. The TV isn't connected to any channels, just the internet, so you can log into any streaming services you have if you want to (no streaming services are provided). The property was good value and nicely furnished - we liked the decor and presentation.

The description of the property isn't accurate. Examples: 1) there are three bedrooms (two doubles and a bunk bed), plus a kitchen area and living room as well. To get 10 people to stay, there would need to be 4 sleeping along the benches in the living room (technically possible) or possibly on the roof terrace, which is covered by netting, but otherwise outside. It would be a challenge for 10 with one toilet / bathroom! 2) there isn't any restaurant on site, nor a breakfast buffet - not sure why the description offers "a family-friendly restaurant"! There are plenty of cafes in the neighbourhood and some great restaurants too within a 10 minute walk. 3) there is no onsite parking, unless they mean on the street outside the property 4) airport transfers are offered and were welcome when we arrived late at night, but local taxis would be less than 1/2 the price. Fix the description and sell what the property does have - a restful place in the old city, with comfortable room for 6! There are a few maintenance things to do - cracked tiles in the bathroom and difficult access to the bath / shower, fridge not cooling / jacuzzi not heating properly, but these did not significantly detract from our stay.

Everything was clean and organized. Abderrahmane was always available for questions and very friendly.

The property was amazing, was perfect for our family stay with plenty of space and great facilities including the lovely hot tub! the location is perfect, with local shops minutes away and most attractions and restaurants walking distance. Abderrahman was a great host, was happy to welcome us late at night, as our fight landed after 9pm, and was available to reach out to during our stay. It was a lovely stay and we are already planning our next trip to Rabat with a stay at Riad dar Lghzal. Can't recommend this place enough!
