GBPlenty of space for a family of 4 and a dog. Facilities were great and had everything you needed. The Enclosed garden was a bonus for having a dog and loved that it was rural.
Location is next to a railway line but soon got used to it after a couple of days.
GBFriendly hosts, beautiful surroundings with a lovely horse to say hello to each day. Clean house with a nice welcome basket. All essentials were already there when we arrived.
A sign to direct you to the cottage may be helpful on arrival as, even with instructions, it was a little confusing.

Few items missing that would have helped during our stay kitchen towel, dish cloth instead of sponge and a cleaning spray. Plenty of items in cleaning cupboard but not a spray cleaner. Item for consideration would be a door stop between the bathroom door and shower glass in downstairs bedroom. As brass door knob may eventually smash the glass.

It was not clear that the sofa bed was in the bedroom, and there was no toilet apart from the ensuite. This is a fabulous place to stay but not for 6 adults. Their website is very clear on the sleeping arrangements but booking. com was not, and if I had seen that earlier, I would have changed my booking.
GBThe property was really big, bedrooms were beautiful! So many details had been thought of, down to a scented candle by the bath. Directions to the parking area etc were really helpful, the welcome basket was a beautiful touch! The owners were really responsive to queries I had shortly after arrival. We did clearly hear the trains, but didn't actually disturb us. They become pretty much 'white noise' .
The upstairs bedroom is pretty warm so a fan may be useful.
GBWe had a wonderful time. The cottage was beautifully decorated and peaceful. Car parking available and free WiFi. Easy driving distance of Light Water Valley and York. If you’re looking for a relaxed holiday in a lovely area then this is perfect.
