The House of Aurora II

I really enjoyed my stay here. It is out of town, which I was specifically looking for to maximise my prospect of seeing the northern lights. On my first night I received a message from the host telling me to go outside as the lights had made an appearance. I was so grateful! While the location might be a little out of Tromso, there are very regular buses which go right past the property (and run quite late), and it’s also an easy drive in. The washing machine and dryer were a big bonus.

When I booked I mistakenly thought the property was 2 storeys and I would have an elevated view of the fjord. This property is on the ground floor however. I am 100% sure that it’s my fault and I didn’t read the listing correctly. The view from the ground floor was still good, just not quite what I had expected in my mind.

This place is right across from the snow-capped mountains! The scenery is beautiful. We stayed for two nights, and it was a great experience. Of course, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights! It was amazing!

The house was very confortable and the hosts were great! The think we love most was the beautiful landscapes from the window. Super cozy place to stay near Tromso!!

Gute Lage in kleinem Ort mit nettem Cafe

Es war alles sehr gut, etwas weihnachtliche Beleuchtung wäre nett gewesen.

Jeden z najlepszych obiektów w jakim mieliśmy okazję być. Cudowni właściciele, bardzo pomocni, bardzo zaangażowani, czuliśmy się jak u rodziny. Apartament ma wszystko i nawet więcej. Na wyposażeniu była kawa, herbata, przyprawy, mikrofala, ekspres z akcesoriami i wiele innych rzeczy. Pokój piękny, przytulny położny w cudownym miejscu. W apartamencie było cieplutko, bardzo czysto i bardzo wygodnie. To jest wzór dla innych apartamentów! Wrócimy tam na pewno. Apartament położny w bajkowej i przepięknej miejscowości tylko 15-20min jazdy od Tromso.

Mostly, the host and the location. This is the best place if you wish to hunt the aurora yourself. And the host will help you know the best viewing times and spots as well as attractions nearby.

The only concern is the distance from the city center. Having said that, being far from the city lights is what makes it a perfect location for viewing the auroras from the property.

Ubicación perfecta , zona muy tranquila

Neubau, sehr sauber, riesiges Bad ca. 10 qm, inmitten einer kleinen Siedlung (50 Häuser) mit Blick auf den Fjord.

Sehr winziges Wohnzimmer, Küche (ca. 9 qm) mit Sofa, für nicht für mehr als 2 Personen geeignet, da nur 2 Barhocker + Bartisch 70x30 cm als Essgelegenheit vorhanden, alles minimalistisch. Außengelände noch im Bau.

Nós viajamos por 3 semanas pela Europa e, de forma geral, ficamos em hotéis 4 e 5 estrelas, esta foi a única propriedade privada que reservamos e as expectativas eram altas pelas avaliações por aqui. Posso dizer com segurança que foi o melhor lugar que ficamos em toda a viagem. O espaço é amplo, bem decorado, limpo, com tudo que necessitávamos, os hosts foram muito atenciosos e o lugar é simplesmente lindo. Vale muito a pena e eu já vou indicar este lugar para todos que vão para Tromso. Foi incrível.
