Algarve Surf Camp & Hostel Sagres

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, fun property run by staff who love what they do. We came here to get connected with Sagres, surfing, and make a few friends. We got it all.

It’s a hostel so it has pros and cons. Expect to have fun, meet great people, great food, lots of warmth and kindness, but a few furniture was a little rough for wear, and you can expect some shabby bits here and there. All in all, no worries.

The hostel is brilliant, we had so much fun on site. Great staff, just cool guests who made our stay sweet and the surf lessons with the surf instructors were absolutely great. We even extended our stay on site because it was so good. I can recommend it with a good conscience.

A bit unclean in parts, often the bins in the bathroom were overflowing

There is no other place to stay if you're going to Sagres. I had the best time staying at Algarve surf hostel, I left with a full heart. The managers and all the workers are incredibly lovely, there is such a family feel to the place. I enjoyed getting to know all the workers and surf instructors, and they always have the time of day to chat and provide recommendations and support. The facilities are incredible, big bathrooms and rooms. The beds were very cozy and provided good privacy if need. Good location, walking distance to all bars, restaurants, and shops. There's also lots of fun things happening that the hostel organise, so you'll always find fun things to do. It was also effortless to make friends, especially if you do the surf lessons. I recommend staying for at least a week, you'll leave wishing that you could live there.

Super friendly, not too big, clean, and safe. Home-made breakfast every morning was included, and daily events and excursions were available in the evenings for a small fee. Would 1000% come back!

Algarve Surf Hostel is a wonderful hostel if you want community feeling and a lot of activity. It has a family feeling and provides a lot of activities to get yourself involved with other travelers or surfers in the hostel and the local community. Also the surf lessons with pick up at the hostel were really handy!

At times however it was a bit too noisy for me just starting my vacation and wanting to relax and wind down. Als unfortunately there was a construction site next to the hostel which startet around 8 or 9 in the morning. Of course the hostel itself has no control over that but it was a big unpleasant feature... if you want to relax and want to sleep in.

I am very happy that I booked this hostel. The staff is super friendly, positive, and very helpful. It feels very familiar, and the breakfast was included and nicely arranged. They were also accommodating for different dietary preferences, providing vegan cake and vegan pizza rolls, for example. The atmosphere among the guests was fantastic, and every evening there were activities organized. The surf lessons were amazing, and I was able to make progress while enjoying a great atmosphere there too! I highly recommend the accommodation and the surf school!
