USLoved everything! In particular, how well outfitted the apartment was - extension cords, hairdryer, toiletry items, iron, steamer, etc. Each room is a good size, and well organized. The kitchen is up to date and very efficient. The location is A+ - steps from Windsor, a few minutes' walk to Eton, and tons of restaurants and shops. The host is top notch - responsive, helpful, pleasant, and professional. It is 3 flights up, but the stairs are spacious and easy to navigate with luggage. And being on the top floor means you get a great rooftop patio. Pics don't do this apartment justice.
everything was perfect
GBUSJames is an excellent host who works hard to ensure his guests are comfortable. There are a lot of little touches that make the flat so inviting. In particular, the linens on the bed are wonderful, the bathroom and kitchen are both well stocked, and the washing machine is a great feature. The location is fabulous - with the Castle just a few yards away and great shopping in the same area.
The flat is on the top floor (4th, American) and it was very hot. Granted, I stayed on the hottest May day in English history, but the temp inside was 90 degrees. James was kind to provide an additional fan, and it did cool down towards morning, but it was very warm while I was trying to go to bed. Something to consider when booking in Windsor: planes from Heathrow begin flying directly over Windsor at 5 a.m. Obviously this impacts every hotel in the area, but, if plane noise bothers you, you might want to consider staying away from city center.
USAwesome location, loved that it’s a very old building, beamed ceilings and door ways, but updated and modernist. The flower terrace is a plus and loved having my coffee there listening g to the buzzing bees 🐝 and watching them work!
