USThis is charming large apartment with views of Windsor Castle. Located in the heart of Windsor, in walking distance of the Thames, restaurants and shopping. It screamed welcome, relax, have fun, and don't worry. The delightful host replied instantly to all our requests (late check out); and it was easy to park in the adjacent Castle Hotel; less than a 3 minute walk to load luggage for the 15-20 minute drive to Heathrow. Beautiful modern kitchen. We will stay here again.
This apartment was on the top floor with many stairs, so if one does not have strong legs from playing tennis, or has heavy luggage (as one should) this would be a consideration.

USThe building is 16th century I think James, our host, told us, and it's amazingly in keeping with the period and comfortably modern at the same time. From the huge wooden ceiling beams, huge fireplace (non-working) to the downhill running floors! The castle can be seen from the living room and kitchen windows, beautifully lit at night. The entire flat is so thoughtfully appointed with everything you need for your stay including iPhone charging cables and international plug adaptors, Q tips, tea bags, milk AND oat milk!!! Thank you so much James, it is clear you think about your guests' needs and take pleasure in their enjoyment of your lovely flat.
The climb up the stairs to the top floor wasn't as tough as some other places. Shallow wide steps making it much easier. Parking in the public lot on Victoria St is a bit of a walk, no parking outside on the street and next door's hotel is expensive
GBThe property is one of a kind! I have never stayed anywhere like this before. At nearly 500 years old it is quirky! The location is fantastic. We stepped outside and got on the bus to Legoland. We could see the castle from the location, and the changing of the guards was right outside. James was super helpful and got us a clothes drying rack to do some washing. He also kept us up to date with local goings-on, like when the king arrived and the flags changing! When we arrived there was milk in the fridge and a lovely fruit bowl. There was tea and coffee. All appliances and extras where high standard. Lovely fluffy towels and good quality bedding. The outside terrace was a great bonus. I can imagine in the Summer this is a fab place to hang out.
There was little we did not like! If you were really tall the love beams might annoy you! It wasn't make or break for us, but with kids it would have been handy to have a table for them to eat breakfast at, or even a 2nd stool at the high table.
