Being met by David and Karen with a welcoming drink. That David helped carry our luggage up to the room. The hosts were helpful, kind, considerate and most welcoming

"Perfect stop with generous hosts."

We chose Above & Beyond as a stopover both on our way to and from our Highlands adventure and it was perfect both times, from the lovely welcome by Karen & David to the superb dog friendly accommodation and generous goodies supplied for a fabulous DIY breakfast, we couldn’t fault it and would definitely stay again.

Our hosts David and Karen were truly fantastic. We even got a free upgrade to a much larger and beautiful room with a fantastic view over the hills of Moffat. Everything is provided, and you feel just like a prince and princess at this beautiful location. I got pretty wasted with a beer, and we also received all kinds of tips for our stay. There is enough in the fridge to make a delicious breakfast the next day.

Absolutely nothing at all. I have traveled a lot in my life and stayed in a five-star hotel, but I have never experienced anything like this. And the hosts are also incredibly kind.

We had a beautiful room, with a lovely view over Moffat and beyond. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was amazing, with a stylish free-standing bath and super shower. Everywhere was very clean and the room contained everything that you could possibly need. Our hosts were really welcoming and helpful. The drink and snacks on arrival were very thoughtful.

There was nothing we didn’t like.
