Mention spéciale pour le safari organisé par Danushka, qui a plu à toute la famille !! C'était déjà fun d'être passagers de motos dans l'ambiance savane/jungle, et nous avons eu la chance de voir des crocodiles, des éléphants, un caméléon... D'après nos adolescents, cette expérience est "la meilleure chose que nous avons faite au Sri Lanka" !! Le lieu où est installée la Jungle Cabin est calme, ce qui nous a permis de passer une nuit reposante 🙂

Escalier escarpé aux marches étroites, hauteur de portes un peu basses pour nos grands gabarits... Mais cela fait partie de l'expérience 😉

Un endroit formidable, une famille formidable. Nous regrettons de n’y être restés que deux nuits. La cabane est à la fois confortable et authentique. Vous êtes en pleine nature. Les tours proposés par Danushka sont très très intéressants et uniques grâce à son expérience de guide à Yala pendant plus de 20 ans. Le safari moto est exceptionnel. Les repas sont excellents. A recommander absolument si vous souhaitez sortir des sentiers battus et vivre une expérience authentique.

Eigenaar is enthousiast. In de avond wordt het gezellig gemaakt mat kaarsen op tafel, olielampen in de tuin en een vuurtje aangemaakt. De hut was wel erg ruim met een leuke veranda. Mijn jongste zoon, die met eigenaar mee op de motor ging om boodschappen te doen en via de jungle route terugkeerde, vond het er erg leuk. Bundala park is dichtbij.

Voor ons te basic met een steile trap en vooral het bukken bij de deuren (teveel kruip-door sluip-door). Halfday-tour Bundala NP is feitelijk slechts 2 uur (entree en jeep daarmee best duur). Daarom had ons verblijf ook 1 nacht gekund ipv de 2 nachten dat wij er verbleven. In de buurt is verder niets te doen (eigenaar biedt ook nachtsfarai op de motor aan, wat wij niet hebben gedaan).

Superbe endroit, perdu au milieu de la jungle. Le Safari en moto était mémorable ainsi que le safari en jeep organisé par l’hôte, qui était extrêmement aidant et accueillant. Je vous recommande cet endroit si vous chercher un peu d’aventure et d’authenticité !

L'accueil et les compétences du propriétaire. Un endroit idéal pour les petits budgets pour voir des animaux. Une nourriture excellente.

Our best guesthouse experience in Sri Lanka ! We were wonderfully welcomed by Danushka and her family ! The breakfast was excellent !

This is a wonderful place to stay; fantastic if you are on a budget and understand the facilities are basic. There is electricity, warm water and a comfortable bed...in a fabulous location with fabulous hosts. You will see an array of wildlife (porcupine, bats, crocs, elephants and exotic birds). Danoushka and Anousha were warm, welcoming and kind. We loved our stay here and felt part of nature. Anousha cooks delicious Sri Lankan food and Danoushka is knowledgeable about the local area; We went on a tuk tuk drive with him to see various temples and sites of historic importance - a highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka. My husband also did an early morning bird spotting safari on the back of a motor bike which enabled him to take some close shots of the abundant bird life. Jungle cabin gave us the experience of "real" Sri Lanka and, as a middle aged couple, it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with the hosts and enjoy their home. We would not hesitate to recommend this as a rustic place to stay...make the most of Danoushka's local and wildlife knowledge and...enjoy the tranquility.

The motorbike jungle safari is amazing- many animals and birds ( yes elephants) & no other tourists there- a 4 hour fun and informative evening safari- amazing! the cabin is rustic but very comfortable and really fun to stay in and so quiet The host is fabulous- he directed us how to catch to from tangalle and pick us up from remote bus stop. in the morning we left he took us to ella for a reasonable price it was fun eating dinner amount fire torches in the garden

the ladder to the cabin is steep- fine for us but fyi
