Bundeli Kothi - a unique farmstay

So eine tolle Oase und so liebe Menschen, sowie das Personal, wir waren so begeistert. Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht dort, sehr schade . Eine liebevolle Einrichtung der Räume. Das Zimmer war sehr sehr sauber. Frühstück und Abendessen sehr lecker 😋. Einfach nur KLASSE und vielen lieben Dank für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt.

We spent two night at this amazing gem of a place. We could have spent an entire week or more at this serene haven. It's a beautiful farmhouse (with a porch, huge living room, sounds of a myriad birds...) about 6 km from the crowded and ultra noisy city of Orcha. Large and very well appointed room; they have just 4 so one needs to book early if you want to stay here during high season. On both nights, we opted to have dinner in house and were very glad that we did. Not only was the vegetarian food delicious, it was TOTALLY home grown on their organic farm -- from the lentils to the grain to fruits and vegetables. We got a tour of the farm and were very impressed by the effort that has gone into pulling it off. Now comes the best part of our stay -- the hospitality offered by our young hosts, Sakshi and Mudit. Simply outstanding. Their involvement, care and love with which they looked after their guests was par excellence. Made us feel like honored family members. Their hand on approach to their hosting responsibilities together with their farming activities was laudable. Overall, a fabulous stay at Sakshi and Mudit's home. Would highly, highly recommend this place. to future travelers to this part part of India.

It is difficult in a short review to get across exactly how good Bundeli Kothi is. It is absolutely exceptional. Sakshi and Mudit have created a magical place, providing a top quality hotel experience in their four superb spotless bedrooms, warm professional hospitality and exceptionally good vegetarian food, organically grown on their own adjoining farm. In nearly 20 years of visiting and travelling in India, this is the nicest place we have ever stayed in. Every day, after returning from visiting Orchha and the temples (15-20 minutes away by autorickshaw on country roads, easily arranged) we wandered in the gardens, relaxed on the verandahs and had an excellent evening dinner served outside under Bundela Kothi's fairylit trees. Sakshi and Mudit fully deserve all this praise for what they have created. and I highly recommend their beautiful place..

Struttura bella e ben gestita da sakshi e mudit, host super gentili sempre pronti a chiacchierare e aiutare (mi hanno anche portato in stazione una cosa dimenticata a cui tenevo). La casa si trova fuori orchha in una zona di campagna dove si respira aria pulita, tranquillità e si magia per lo più cibo prodotto dalla loro stessa campagna. Abbiamo sempre usufruito della cena, la più buona del viaggio!

The building is located on a beautiful farm. The rooms are large, immaculately clean and have very comfy beds. The bathroom had a great hot shower. My room had a veranda that overlooked the garden, and it was bliss sitting outside at the end of the day. The food provided was excellent. The dinner is a must. Not only was it delicious, but everything was produced organically from within the farm. On 2 nights dinner was arranged outside, which was a very nice touch. Sakshi and her team went that extra mile to ensure my time spent in Orchha was memorable. She helped with arranging Tuk Tuk's for seeing the sites of Orchha and cars for travelling further afield. If you are travelling to Orchha I would whole heartedly recommend spending time at Bundeli Kothi, you will not regret it. Brian from UK - 3 nights in February 2026

There is nothing I could find fault with.

Everything was carefully arranged from our arrival to our departure. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, made with fresh vegetables from the farm. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was really nice sleeping with the windows open since it was quiet outside. We truly enjoyed our stay.
