Cosy 2 bedroom cottage

Lovely cottage in a great area for exploring the local area. Only a few minutes drive from Bala lake. The cottage is cosy and exceptionally clean. The hosts are very friendly and informative. Thanks for having us, we'll be back again!

The weather

The hosts were very helpful; the cottage was a very relaxing place to stay and ideally located for what I was doing. It was very quiet at night.

Not having a mobile internet device, I did miss not being able to access the internet, but I have stayed there before and knew what to expect. Anyway, I was able to go up to the Bala Lake Railway station in the village, which is only a 5-minute walk away, and use the volunteer wifi (since I am a volunteer there). So it was all fine.

The location was beautiful - a quiet, quaint, typical Welsh village with stone buildings. The cottage is beautifully appointed and designed. It had the essential kitchen appliances to make meal preparation easy. A parking spot is available right outside the front door. Even though it's on the street, there is not much street traffic so it felt perfectly safe.

Great little cottage in a quiet Welsh village. It has everything you need during your stay and is clean and comfortable. Carly & Wayne are easily contactable by message or phone for queries. The cottage is in a great location to travel around beautiful Wale's 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 with fabulous lakes, mountains and villages on its doorstep ❤️ I would most definitely visit again!

Kitchen well stocked with utensils, crockery, condiments, tea & coffee and everything you would need - the welcome welshcakes and milk was also a lovely touch which instantly made us feel welcome.

Unfortunately the house was very cold, especially downstairs (hence low score on Comfort). The bedrooms heated up quickly when the heaters were used but we didn't want to leave them on while out or asleep so it took a while to heat up again. Tried making a fire in the burner but failed, either was doing something wrong or the logs weren't dry enough. Fortunately managed to borrow hot water bottles from relatives nearby (this was in February). If the cottage had a central heating system it would be perfect.
