Woodway B&B

We made our own breakfast and enjoyed the food which was left for us. Matt was very welcoming and helpful. We loved the location deep in the countryside.

We liked everything and were fortunate to be the only guests staying; otherwise, we would have had to share the kitchen and dining/lounge are with people we didn’t know and that would have been awkward.

I was greeted by Matt at the b&b who was welcoming and very helpful. The room is super cosy, really clean, warm and well equipped. With it being self catering, Matt had stocked the fridge and cupboards with everything I could have needed for a great stay, even a little pot of his own honey, home grown apples and walnuts!! His own honey is delicious and I highly recommend buying a pot to bring home with you! The bathroom is nice and clean with what appear to be new fixtures and fittings. The heated towel rail was a lovely addition to keep things dry and warm. The b&b is ideally situated, well connected and there are some lovely walks through the village. Despite the road being fairly busy, it is so quiet in the room and I was not disturbed by any traffic noise. I felt really safe at the b&b as there is a big locked entrance gate that is closed after 8:30pm with a code to get in and out. I wish I stayed for longer, it was lovely!!

Ideal location for the Ridgeway, attending the Bunkfest in Wallingford, and visiting friends in Abingdon and Blewbury itself. Matt our host was extremely helpful dealing with us both before and during our stay.

The location was perfect for our visit to family in the village. No luxuries but all immaculately clean and welcoming. Breakfast was a very generous self -catering which we prefer to set breakfast times.

It is set on a working farm and therefore work and movement of machinery early in the morning, and smells are inevitable. They did not bother us too much as we are country people too.

We loved the space it afforded us - privacy - accessibility and our hostess was very helpful and checked in on us to ensure we had everything. The breakfast provided was certainly generous for you stay.

Room is clean and comfortable. Very generous provision of breakfast . Staff is very attentive. Marianne gave her out of hour contact in case I couldn't get through the locked main gate after 8pm. The peacock came for a morning atvisit, which is a bonus.

Lock for the room door should be updated.
