Very central location

Advertised as two bathrooms but actually only one bathroom with a separate downstairs toilet

"We loved it and I wish we had been able to stay longer. Such a sweet little cottage, perfect for us"

Breakfast wasn't on offer. We loved the location as it was quiet and yet very central to the town. It is a lovely little cottage and I would definately stay there again. I loved being able to sit outside.

I don't really have any negative comments but my only feed back would be to put in some nicer wine glasses and maybe it bit more crockery. The sofas weren't that comfortable but it really didn't matter. May be a little bit more privacy in the outdoor seating area would be good.

The house is located right in the centre of Henley so a good location. It is away from the road and so was very quiet. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. There were a few items missing and these were supplied quickly by the property.

It is possible to pull up to unload depending on the time of day but in a no parking area taking the risk of a fine. Getting luggage in was difficult as you have to go through two security gates to get to the property both of which were difficult to open. The worst part of the stay was sitting on the sofa which is extremely uncomfortable and not built for lounging around - apparently no one has said this before but reviews say otherwise. The heating controls are very difficult to use - they had to send a friend round to show us how to use it but it was still too complicated. The living room was drafty because of gaps around the front door. The dishwasher stopped working on 11/02 but it took many messages before I was told that someone would be coming to repair dishwasher on 21/02 between 08:00 and 15:00. They did offer to let them in but I said that I was not happy about being disturbed at 08:00 - reply was “they wont be coming then”. They then said would pay for a timed appointment. I asked for a partial refund for this problem as well as uncomfortable sofa. On 23/02 got message from the owner saying that they won’t be repairing the dishwasher at all and offering me £50.00 as gesture of good will. We had another 7 days and so I said this wasn’t enough. No dishwasher may seem trivial to some but I booked a property with one as standing at the sink washing dishes aggravates a bad back. Owner then said would refund rest of stay if I wanted to leave. I took up this offer however was only told this in the afternoon and although we left that day she would not refund that night. I am sure that the owner will reply saying that I was a difficult and demanding guest but other reviews have made the same points. I would not stay here again. Might be OK for short stay but not 1 month as we did - too uncomfortable and poor attitude from owner.
