Having to leave

We absolutely loved this place! It's a beautiful, spacious apartment decorated and furnished in a way that makes you feel like you're staying in one of the famous Lake Como villas, with windows and a balcony giving an unobstructed view of the lake. The location is fantastic, too. Tremezzo is much quieter and more relaxing than Bellagio but still in the middle of everything - it was so easy to get back and forth to Bellagio, Varenna, and other places around the lake - and the apartment itself is practically across the street from the ferry dock with restaurants and cafes (and a gelato place that our kids loved) within a few minutes walk and only a 5-10 minute walk to the Villa Carlotta. It is close to the main road so there is some noise from passing traffic, but not much and it didn't bother us (we liked the proximity and convenience).

The prep/dishwashing area for the restaurant next door is very close to the master bedroom and balcony and the sound of clanking dishes can become very loud, especially in the morning. Our itineraries had early starts each day, but we could see how anyone trying to sleep past 7 am could get annoyed.

We were provided with a code for the lock box at the gate to retrieve the keys. Directions were sent as a video and were so easy to follow and all details explained clearly. The advertising in bookings.com was exactly what we received. The house was appointed beautifully, clean and a magnificent view. Would highly recommend to our friends. Made our stay even better than we imagined

I wouldn't say it is what we didn't like, as we liked everything but more of constructive criticism in a small improvement. The only thing that could have been improved, would have been a sensor light on the front gate when you were returning in the dark. There was a sensor light that went on once you had walked up the steps, but it was just a bit dark on the steps until the light in the gardens turned on. We were just a bit more cautious going up and down the steps when it was dark.

Amazing location, beautiful original ceilings and floors… renovated bathrooms, work well… good AC… we had a good stay for 11 days…

It could have had better lighting, and better furniture… it was good for our 11 days stay but for longer than that, it would not be great…

👍🏼Well equipped- Kitchen eqpt and utensils, ref, dishwasher & washing machine pods, Nespresso, kettle, sponge, wastecloth, towels, umbrella, comfy beddings, 2 hairdryers, extension cord, plugs at bedside, vanity mirror, even small laundry clips. Thank you the bottled water upon arrival. 👍🏼Views from windows, even just a peek, are marvelous- especially on sunny days. 👍🏼Nice warm shower and water pressure. Even in kitchen and lavatory. 👍🏼 Andrea was very patient when my card payment would not push through. He offered several options as alternative. He also helped us with the trash upon check out. 👍🏼 Efficient kitchen 👍🏼 Location is great- right across Tremezzo ferry port, bus ride to Menaggio and Lenno (Villa Balbinielo), restaurants right beside, short walk to Villa Carlotta. One ferry stop to/from Bellagio. Few stops to/from Varenna. 👍🏼Fun Boat tour/ rental with @Crissisullago, convenient with nearby La Locanda as pick up/ drop off point. 😉 Guests should embrace the history and oldness of the place along with its fixtures- doors, windows, furniture, stairs, room proportions, etc. 😉 Towel warmers in both bathrooms, but we couldn’t get it working

😉 Would have wanted: Microwave oven, Moka pot. 😉Salumeria at the location opens early but closes early too- before 5pm. Has bread, deli, chips, drinks, condiments. 😉Trash segregation with day scheduling was a challenge. Glad that Andrea helped us out. 👎🏼 Keys are tricky to locate and use, hope to improve on this. Having 1 set is difficult if separate guest schedules. 👎🏼 Backdoor thru kitchen maybe more convenient. But be careful when raining as the ramp is steep and slippery. 👎🏼For light sleepers, the early morning noise from Hotel Bazzoni might be upsetting.

Location couldn't be improved upon - closeness to ferry, and small shop, and tourist office all great. Glamorous styling of the apartment (very White Lotus 2!), well thought out facilities (coffee machine, washing machine, freezer, hair drier etc), presence of a good sized dining table, quality television all added to the very positive experience. Perfect for a family, especially with the second bathroom. Tremezzo is also a great base for the mid-Lake Como experience. The hosts and locals couldn't be more friendly or helpful.

A bit noisy from traffic but helped that there was aircon so windows could be closed to shield any noise and the rooms still be kept cool and airy. The complicated requirements around rubbish disposal and the offer of an extra fee to dispose of it was a little bit tiresome. Would have preferred it to just be included in the costs of hiring the apartment. Took the edge off an otherwise perfect stay.
