Poor sleep, Noisy Street outside, and sunlight shining through the door / shutter in the early hours Unable to use the bath, not enough hot water to fill it ?

Location - ideal for trips to the whole Malta and Gozo. Ambiente of the appartement. Very nice in old traditional house. Well equipped.

House is nicely designed with the authentic characteristic Maltese features. Did not stay for long however it felt like home. Fully equipped with everything needed and is situated few meters away from the City Gate. Would choose again in the future.

Plenty of space with the all facilities I wanted. Very clean. Walking distance to Valletta and good bus and ferry links for travelling round Malta. The host was very quick to help with any small issues.

It doesn’t have a window to look outside. I could not use the remote for the air conditioning, because I didn’t know how it worked! (This is because I’m too old for ‘modern gadgets!) The host was really quick to come and help me to set it correctly.

The property is beautiful - such lovely rooms. The location is good too - close to buses to travel around the island, and close to all the bars etc. in Valletta.

I wanted to use the bath during my stay but their hot water system isn’t big enough to even remotely fill it, so until they replace it with a larger system, the bath is unfortunately ornamental.

Very clean, and tastefuly decorated, which made for a comfortable sky, The bed was very cozy and clean. Staff was responsive. Location is fantastic, being a 5 minute walk to valletta.

The tub was a bigtime selling point when I was looking at photos to choose a place to stay. Unfortunately there is not enough hot water to fill the tub even a quarter of the way. The only solution I was offered was to fill it until the hot water was depleted, wait 30 minutes to an hour for the tank to reheat, and keep filling. I was also told that luke warm bath should be enough! I understand that in Malta they are more energy conservative than most...but if you are offering a product to sell to an international customer base, perhaps some flexibility and agility would be in order. Also, the apartment is very humid...so even though the host will tell you it is up to you if you wish to use the provider dehumidifier, unless you are a lizard or amphibious creature, using it is a must... Meaning you have to empty the tank manually each night to stay comfortable. These might seem like petty grievances to some (I was told as such by the host that I was "making a fuss") but the bottom line is I paid almost half of a monthly mortgage payment to stay here for 8 days.. while on VACATION... Vacation is something you work very hard all year to earn some relaxation...asking to not have chores , and being able to take a hot bath, shouldn't be a very hard thing for a host to accomplish. Side note...the door placement on the shower is terrible . It should slide from the left to right. In its current configuration, you have to squeeze between the door edge and the shower handle to get in. Thank goodness the rest of the place was decent, and Malta is so charming and beautiful. Would I stay here again...probably not. Going to do the hotel thing next time...
