Tiny House: The Housje

Tiny House is a wonderful retreat - a small but comfortable en-suite bedroom at one end of the host’s garden. There is access to a small kitchen, washing machine, small swimming pool and sun terrace. The location is excellent, overlooking Porto de la Cruz, although it is a good thirty minutes to walk down to the town and longer to walk back as its all up hill. There are local restaurants and supermarkets. Parking is easy on the streets nearby. The host is exceptionally pleasant and helpful, going out of her way to make my stay a good one.

Selfishly, I didn't want to write a review as I want to keep this place secret, just for us, to book at every opportunity as everything here was absolutely wonderful! From waking up to birdsong, to sitting on the terrace having evening drinks, the surroundings are beautiful. The bedroom was beautifully decorated with Jorge and Cisca's artwork, with a very comfortable bed, the kitchen very well equipped with oils, herbs and spices to use. Cisca's local knowledge was invaluable. Definitely ask her to book you a table for a night at Hannen. I won't say any more so as not to ruin the surprise, but what an excellent night out! The location is stunning! Having never been to the north of the island, we didn't know what to expect but it really is quite breathtaking, with Tiede keeping her watchful eye over us. Honestly, we couldn't recommend it any higher!

The host is fantastic and made sure to get in touch before our arrival. The cottage is lovely, and the area is peaceful. The kitchen is well-equipped, and there's a tap with filtered water, which is a great convenience.

The only downside is that there is no available parking, but you can find something nearby, so it’s not a big problem. Other than that, everything is great!

Absolutely amazing 😻 we spent great time in this tiny and romantic house! We fell in love with the garden, birds singing, small incredible details of the house and its design ☺️ If you are looking for a quiet, cozy and peaceful place, then this is the place for you! Cisca and her family are simply incredible people! We met her mother Draga, who has an amazing life story! It was really nice to spend time talking with Draga and Cisca! It's like a hug for the soul ☺️ We recommend this place wholeheartedly! You'll want to stay longer!

We had a great stay at the tiny house and felt very welcome and at home. Our host Cisca was very warm-hearted and welcoming, thank you so much! There is a wonderful sight from the terrace and a bus station and a supermarket about 10min by foot. We enjoyed our time very much and would recommend any time!

We booked one night with my husband, and immediately after arrival thought we should have stayed longer. The mere look at the garden, so peaceful, full of birds, overlooking the valley and the sea, was enough to realize it will be such a relaxing place! And it was so. We loved every minute of it! The house is a hidden gem, so beautifully decorated, cozy and right among the trees, so we felt really connected to the Nature. Special words also need to be said about the hosts - all the family is super friendly, open and shared helpful advice and recommendations! Staying with them was truly a highlight of our Tenerife trip ❤️

The hosts went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We enjoyed our time there and will be going there if we return to Tenerife.

I had a wonderful stay at the Housje. It is located in a quiet residential area in the hosts' garden. In half an hour you can walk to the lively city center of puerto de la Cruz. The botanical garden is not far, as are shopping opportunities. You have your own really well-equipped kitchen with everything you need, a Patio where you can enjoy your meals and the beautiful view across the garden. If you are brave enough, you can use the pool at any time ( due to the temeprature,, it was a awakening experiences. I liked it and would do it again!) The house is super cozy, very stylishly furnished and the bathroom has a nice shower. I was warmly and happily welcomed and the check-in was uncomplicated. Cisca had lots of excursion tips for me, was always available and was able to answer all of my curious questions about Tenerife. I can fully recommend this great place and hope to come back one day! Than you for eyerthinhg, it was a pressure to be your first guest :-)

Everything. The host were very welcoming and the place was a gem set in a lovely garden. The Tiny House was refreshingly individual and very comfortable. We woke up listening to the birds after a very restful night sleep.
