Vila Nana Bled Apartments & Rooms

Charming old-fashioned villa in a pleasant, quiet neighbourhood, run by a friendly elderly German lady who settled in Yugoslavia many decades ago. The room is really well-equipped, with many items I would never have thought to expect, and (except for the lack of cooking equipment) could almost serve as an apartment in its own right. There's a desk and a nice balcony, and, although the shower and toilet are separate, you get a basin in the room. A washing machine is available in the bathroom. Although breakfast is not offered in-house, it can be ordered from local farms. Basically a very restful place to stay.

It's a bit far from the lake - a pleasant walk into town normally, but a slog with heavy luggage. Wi-fi wasn't 100% reliable. The shower is in the bath with no shower curtain, so hard not to splash water about. Still, these were minor reservations.

I arrived a couple of hours before check in and Nana greeted me by name with a room that was ready for me already. It was nicely sized with a spacious balcony, desk, and a "kitchenette" area. Nana (Rosemarie) is a lovely woman happy to share stories about her life and recommendations of things to do in and around Bled. The house is nestled in a quiet area away from the lake, but beware it's a bit of an uphill trek. I rented a bike in town for the duration of my stay which made getting around much faster. Nana also let me keep my bag in the office after check out so that I could spend some more time at the lake before leaving town.

My stay coincided with an unseasonably hot string of days, so not having AC was a challenge, however there was a fan in the room that helped circulate the air. Though it seems that nighttime temperatures are not usually an issue, but be mindful if you are traveling during the hot summer months. I was also a little unclear on kitchen access, as the 2nd floor does have a small kitchen, but it's for the apartment on that floor, not the use of all rooms. However there is a mini fridge and ample cutlery in each room along with a kettle, washing liquid and dishtowel.

The house is charming and it’s like going to stay with your sweet grandma here called Nana. Very clean, private, a bit dated but perfectly acceptable and quite comfortable.

It’s a bit out of the town by a 15-20 minute uphill walk from Lake Bled. The walk is fine until you have to carry your luggage thru the residential area and pass some farms. The area is so beautiful. Having a car would be best but be aware if you’re on foot getting to Nanas house will be a chore when arriving from the bus or train station , which is even further

Very peaceful location with bird life and great views.

Had a great short stay here. Nana is a lovely host, very friendly, thanks for your hospitality. Rooms are refreshingly cool on hot days. Fridge for cooling drinks, sink and other creature comforts that are very helpful e.g. Cutting board and cutlery. Also the room has a balcony which is so relaxing in the evenings, value for money here is exceptional for the area. Shared bathroom very clean and with a very nice shower. 10 min walk to center of bled. Quiet area

Nothing. Minor gripe is shower has no curtain, so very hard to not get water outside tub.

Nana (the owner) is lovely and super helpful! The room is nice because it features a sink and cutlery and toiletries (also in the bathroom). There was also a washing machine for laundry (5 €).
