Great location, about 20 minutes walk from the city centre. Really stylish space, clean and comfortable, with all the essentials. Very happy and would definitely stay again.

The mood lighting and decor.

I wasn’t going to leave a 2nd review as felt I’d covered it in the first but as the host is continuing to make accusations and failing to take accountability for their part in ensuring hygiene standards I will. There are many explanations why white linens are easily stained: makeup application, an accidental tea spillage etc etc… You do not shame a guest for doing so irrespective of the reason. The simple fact remains - If you are going to offer towels etc to your customers then it is your responsibility to wash them afterwards regardless of whether they are left sparkling clean or show signs of use. If you did wash these items in between guests as you proclaim to then it shouldn’t be such an issue or burden to you as once washed they would be fit for use again. You are charging a 5 star price but not providing a 5 star service to justify it. After booking they send you a long list of departure requirements including washing up, taking out bins, cleaning anything and everything touched to decrease their turnover time. In fact the only thing we aren’t told to do is wash the laundry and their resentment and consequential rudeness in having to do so has been clearly depicted in my experience.

The mood lighting and decor.

Booked to relax somewhere a little quirky with my partner and was made to feel like a criminal upon check-out for simply using the towels and robes which has never been an issue in any other place I’ve ever stayed. It should be standard hygiene practice to wash these things in between guests which this host clearly resents. I was also accused of smoking in the property for lighting some scented candles and staining a sofa which I noticed was stained before my arrival which again highlights their laziness when it comes to cleaning in between guests. Overall I found the host rude with a bad attitude and wouldn’t recommend booking this place unless you intend to take your own towels/robes and stay perhaps for business (certainly not pleasure) as it would have been a much friendlier and more relaxing experience at any one of the wonderful hotels and other apartments this city has to offer.
