Best place ever - beach style cozy apartment

We stayed at this guest house, and the view was truly stunning with plenty of space. However, there were a few big drawbacks. The shower was just a tap, no real shower, and the bed was too small—definitely not suited for South African guests. The first night, we had no fan, which made sleeping in the summer really tough. Then, the next day, the internet didn’t work, and there was a noisy construction next door. Also, the owner seemed a bit disorganized, mixing up who was staying in which unit. Overall, it wasn’t a great stay, despite the beautiful view

Alexandra was most accommodating. Allowed an immediate early check-in. Everything is exactly as the pics indicated. A copy and homely environment. Even though our stay was 1night we thoroughly enjoyed it. Place is near and clean. Comes highly recommended and look forward to booking there again 😀

Everything's 💯

The house is on the corner of a quiet street making it feel so peaceful & private. We stayed in the loft and it was gorgeous - the views are amazing of the ocean and the mountains all around. We loved that they provided deckchairs to watch the sunset and stargaze. The loft is spacious, bed is super comfortable and the decor was stunning - we had everything we needed for our weekend stay & will definitely be back. Alexandra was great too and so responsive. We definitely will be back!

The only draw back I can think of is that for a longer stay the lack of a shower may be an issue in summer. I personally loved the stand alone bath with the view of the mountain for our one night stay 😍

Stay was fine. Nice views. When we arrived, a scantily clad woman was sunbathing on our deck. I found cigarette buts in the barbecue. The room is nice. Nice enough decor, but a little kitsch. Wifi was terrible. The worst bit was the arrogant owner pitching up at 10:30 am (30 mins before checkout) to showcase the home to potential buyers. No prior warning of course. We felt rushed out. I'd avoid because that shocking show of hospitality (however small) spoke volumes. At least they let us bring our dog I guess. But that shouldn't mean the hosts get to treat us poorly.

Best view ever right over the bay.

Beautiful central location at Houtbay. Easy to start trips from here to the southern tip of Good Hope, venture to the cederberg mountains up north, or just explore the local beaches around Capetown. The place itself is maintained to the highest standard and decorated with taste! The owner, Alexandra, is a bright young woman, who takes pleasure in providing the best service. I stayed for 5 weeks, and it really felt like a second home.

We stayed in the top flat. It was as described and exactly what we wanted: The house is in a cosy, quiet residential area and the view from the balcony terrace is wonderful. You look out over a green valley with beautiful houses and the bay of Hout Bay in the background... sitting there and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening or a coffee in the morning - fantastic. What else? The apartment was clean and we found everything we needed. Alexandra was easy to get in touch with and had lots of tips for us... thanks again - Culture Cafe, Deus Cafe, Dunes Beach Restaurant & Bar as well as Silvermist Organic Wine Estate were awesome. I hope we can cross of all the locations from our list :) To the beach in Hout Bay it takes you five minutes by car and ten to the Beau Constantia wine estate. All in all, great value for money and we would love to come back.
