Hotel Torremar - Mares

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent – right in the centre of town and only a few minutes' walk from the beach, making it a great base for exploring the area. The hotel itself is a little dated, but the rooms are spacious, comfortable and well maintained. The balcony was a generous size, the bathroom was spacious, and it was great to have a fridge in the room. The restaurant staff were lovely throughout our stay, and the cleaning staff were also very friendly and hardworking. Reception was more of a mixed experience; one member of staff was particularly helpful and welcoming, while the others were not especially friendly. A word of caution regarding parking: the hotel car park is extremely tight and really only suitable for small cars. You need to drive down two underground levels, which can be challenging. We found it easier to use the on-street parking nearby. There are free white spaces available, as well as blue pay-and-display spaces. We paid approximately €1.20 for two hours. Despite a few minor drawbacks, the fantastic location, spacious rooms, and the friendliness of the restaurant and housekeeping teams made for an enjoyable stay.

They were mean about the little things- not willing to give you tea bags after the initial few - charging 15 euros a day for parking, which was not mentioned when I booked.
