Villa Lyss apartment 2

The location was great and quiet, the apartment was very spacious and had everything you'd need. Ray & Jonathan were amazing hosts, meeting us as soon as we got out the taxi and very kindly drove us to the supermarket to get supplies. I'd recommend getting a cab or hiring a car (we used a local Uber like service called Bolt which was incredible, got us all over the island and in total cost a fraction of what hiring a car would have). The pool was amazing and the whole complex and gardens were kept to a very high quality. I highly recommend it.

The water pressure in the shower wasn't the best or my personal preference, but this certainly didn't affect our holiday or impression of the apartment.

Big spacious apartment, well cleaned. The pool and area is very nice. Very good if you are seeking a relaxed holiday. Restaurants and food shopping are nearby. The owners live in the building, and they are friendly and helpful. If you want to se attraction it’s best to rent a car.

The host was fantastic, so attentive and very helpful with queries and recommendations. The location was fantastic and the facilities on site were great. 👍

Villa Lyss is a very nice place in Mellieha to discover Malta & Gozo. The villa consists of multiple appartments which are all very spacious and well equipped. The outdoor terrace overlooks the shared swimmingpool and has a beautiful view over the area. The owners live in the top appartment and are always available to assist. They also keep the pool and outdoor area clean. Our appartment had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom a kitchen and a big living room with a sofa and eating corner. There's airco available on extra charge by throwing in €1 & €2 coins in a counter. We've spent about €15 on it for 9 days, so that's reasonable. Villa Lyss is situated in the northern part of Malta and perfectly situated to discover Malta. There's shops and restaurants closeby, even on walking distance if you can stand the heat. Going to Valletta is only a 35min drive and the Gozo ferry is just 10min away. In our opinion a rental car is a must to discover the island on your own pace, although Uber is available everywhere and costs about €35 for a single ride to Valletta. Depending on your plans, the cost to use Uber vs car rental might end up being more or less the same.

The only remark we have are the beds, which could really use an upgrade with new slatted bases & mattresses.

Liked the amount of space in the apartment and the balcony plus the whole pool area is fantastic. Ray was a wonderful host giving us loads of advice on places to go and showing lots of interest in our wellbeing and happiness during our stay. Would definitely stay again if in Malta
