The stairs railings are a health hazard, the flooring outside needs a touch up of polish, another fan in the bar area is needed, I believe a kettle could be added in each room, you have a lovely dog, however the dog mess is needed to be clean, especially in the washing and hanging of clothes area, the outer area of the top rooms are too hot, the AC blowing makes it impossible to sit out there it us a beautiful place with lots of potential.

The staff were very nice but this place is seriously understaffed. The room was a decent size with strong AC but the windows didn't open and there were no back up fans for when the power went out (which it did during my stay - not the fault of the residence it was nationwide). There was a generator for power (not AC) but only ONE fan for the entire place.

It is NOT on the beach, you half to walk down a lane/alley to the beach so at night this did not feel safe. The pictures are misleading. The common area is enclosed and extremely hot and uncomfortable. The breakfast which costs $15USD included scrambled eggs and toast (with a tiny pat of butter) and coffee that I had to request multiple times, not even a piece of fruit, not worth the price at all. The place does not feel adequately staffed or safe, in addition the owner (male) entered rooms with a key in the middle of the night while people were sleeping. I was traveling alone and did not feel safe at all in this place. There was NO bar or restaurant on premises (again, the listing is misleading). On a side note, not the fault of this place, this is apparently a major area for sex tourism as I found out being a single woman traveler. This contributed to me being constantly harassed on the beach and Barry's was no refuge as it was unventilated (even the outdoor common area) with no bar or food options. I would not recommend this place for a single female traveler.

The location was great, as it was just a short walk to the beach. The accommodation was good as the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I liked the fact that young people are employed at this location and that they were pleasant.
