GBWe had a wonderful time staying at this lovely little house in La Rosa. Carmen was so helpful and responded immediately with any queries we had. The house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. We stayed for 9 days, so we were offered the cleaning lady to come in half way through our stay to change bedding, towels and clean the hot tub. La Rosa is an ideal central location for exploring the island. Being from England, we don't cope with it too hot! so it was nice to come back to the cool, but as soon as we wanted some hotter weather, you can just drive down the mountain to Tazacorte where the climate is often hotter. We spent everyday exploring the island other than our last day where we found the outside sofa to be a perfect sun bathing spot! Thank you again for everything and we can't wait to be back! Hopefully same again next year! :-)
Nothing, it was perfect!
CNIt’s very nice renovated house in a quiet neighborhood outside the center of El Paso, and it’s inside the Natrual Park. There are oil, salt, sugar, water, coffee, tea and even a bottle of wine provided by the owner in the house. Jacuzzi in the terrace was indeed a bit enjoyment for us. In the little garden, there are around ten avocado trees. We loved it! It’s a very good value for money. I would recommend to family to friends.
We found the drive way into the house was a bit narrow and it was a little difficult for us. But there are parkings by the road not far from the house.
USThe hot tub was the only good thing about it. The hosts were very responsive when we had a problem with the electricity
Too many things— it’s an old house that smells like mold and cigarette smoke but the hosts try to mask this with a synthetic air freshener. Also, the cat of the neighbors will always try to come in. The cleaner tried to go a good job but there was still orange hair on the pillows and blanket that was on the couch. There’s a washing machine but they don’t even leave detergent for you to wash your own clothes. The house is as clean as they can make it but honestly this is the problem with mountain homes in humid winter — nothing ever properly dries inside the house, especially the towels. The heater they bought for the living room requires too much energy and caused the electricity to short circuit and cut out late in the evening. So we didn’t use it at all for the rest of the stay I highly suspect the hosts do not have this registered with the government and use this as tax free income because they should have the viviendas vacacionales sign outside on the property to indicate it’s approved by the relevant regulatory authority. They also pretended to forget to ask for our passport details that they are required by law to provide to the Spanish government until two weeks after we left and only remembered to ask for them once we asked for the complaint form that is your right to ask for as a guest
