Not one single thing.

The accommodation is cold, noisy, with a serious fire hazard. The owner is dishonest, unresponsive, and irresponsible. No safe heating: This tiny attic room is without insulation and has no central heating. The only source of heating is two feeble space heaters. However, if you use them, the electricity jumps. To solve this, you’ll need to follow the owner’s WhatsApp instructions and manually turn on the fuse. In other words, the owner is clearly aware of the fact that the electricity setup of the room is unable to safely support the space heaters. Not enough hot water: The boiler is so small, there is not even enough hot water for two people to shower consecutively. Extreme noise from the toilet: There is a “toilet shredder” under the toilet, which makes some very loud grinding noise every couple of minutes, even when no one is using the toilet. Hygiene issues: The hygiene is worse than the average budget AirBnb room, with sticky and dusty surfaces. To say the least: It is obviously not professional cleaned. For the price we paid, it is quite extreme. After the first night, we woke up cold and exhausted, because we did not want to risk leaving the space heaters on all night, and because we couldn’t have a warm shower. To avoid having the rest of our weekend trip ruined, we left the accommodation and moved to a proper hotel room. We contacted the owner. No response. We tried again a couple of days later. They responded through WhatsApp. We said we refused to communicate outside of the official booking dot com platform. They kept insisting on using WhatsApp. On WhatsApp, the owner acknowledged the issues. They later claimed they had fixed all the issues, which further confirms their acknowledgment of the issues. They also promised us a refund multiple times. Of course, nothing happened. We took this matter to booking dot com customer service. According to the customer service agent, booking dot com reached out to the owner and asked them to address the issue.

Location and hospitality. Susana is a great host,when I told her about the WIFI problem she response quickly. The place is not big but comfortable enough for one.

The place is in old building so some facility aged.

The host was really kind, even before my trip informing me about everything I could have needed on my way there and during my stay and also answering all my questions regarding my particular concerns. The check-in and all the formalities were really smooth and easy to follow, probably thanks to the host that explained everything in detail. The appartment is really close to the metro station and main attractions of the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room small, but creative and cozy, situated in the attic. I had everything I needed for my short stay there.

Perfect location in the heart of Madrid, cozy for two people, has everything an apartment should have (coffee, tea, kitchen appliances, tv, washing machine and dryer, hair dryer, cleaning supplies, extra toilet paper, olive oil, salt, pepper …). You can get to the 5th floor with an elevator (or using the stairs). Even though the apartment is in the centre it’s quiet (even on the weekends after 11 p.m.).

Two windows don’t have blinds so it is quite bright in the morning.
