ZAPerfect overnight stay ! Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on!
ZAWe went on a mission to escape hustle & business of town life. Through the beautiful mountains of the Klein Karoo. The cottage was rustic yet perfectly decorated & kitted to suit our needs. Indoor/outdoor fireplace. Gas to cook on. Comfortable cozy bedding, clean fluffy towels, towels for hot tub - and experience on its own. Sundowner looking onto the changing shadows and atmosphere of the Karoo, too beautiful. Spiritual in so many ways... the best was sitting in the hot tub star gazing & watching the full moon rise under a clear Karoo sky... We had delicious coffee & the famous "vreet koek" for breakfast the next morning.... thanks to our excellent hosts Ruan & Lourens who saw to my Mom & my every need... .. we will be back 😎
ZACold shower after the first person had a hot one.
AUZAbeautiful spot- quiet
no hot water- could not shower -no heater in winter- we had to light the fire and the total cottage was immediately filled with thick smoke as the chimney did not function properly. Looks as if cottage is still under construction- bedroom walls needs paint
ZAIf you want to be with yourself and get out of the busy traffic and city or town life, thats the place to book
No complaints
ZAWe enjoyed the very rustic atmosphere of the cottage. It is cozy and exceptionally clean. Lovely fluffy bedding and blankies. Very secluded and private. Food from the Die Weet Jy padstal was exceptional.
We really struggled to get hot tub to a tolerable temperature, even though we used almost all the wood for the fire, it was still only luke warm, hours later. Maybe a small circulation solar pump will help for faster heating
ZABeautiful views and serenity
ZAZAThe “braai” was open to the unit which engulfed the whole unit with smoke and with minimal windows with NO WAY to air the unit before bed. Then the mosquitoes with no circulation and gaps in the front door made it even more impossible to sleep. I would suggest a latch of some sort to partition this and maybe a mosquito net??
