Breezy Beachfront Bali-Style Haven 180 Degree OceanView

The unit sits right on the beach, quiet, the room is tastfully decorated and the kitchen has a coffee maker and tea pot! Utensils for cooking, a full size frig, because it’s a corner unit you get an awesome breeze and the ocean waves were a plus for us. Slept better than ever!!

Good location, clean apartment.

Everything was good.

The only positive point was the location and small beach accompanying the property.

After booking we were contacted to say that a technical error double booked that unit, but she had a second unit available for no extra charge. She seems to harp on the fact that the unit is in the same building and a larger square footage, however it was NOTHING like the unit we had anticipated. It wasn’t clean, there was a lot of hair on the nightstand, the towels bled color and left a lot of lint, which makes me think they were not washed. There were also no toiletries in the bathroom, (as was advertised in the unit we’d booked), just a mostly used bottle of hand soap. The booking was also meant to have an AC unit and washer and dryer- which this unit also didn’t have. There was also no sponge to wash the dishes and A LOT of bugs. Which- I am coming from Alaska having spent years in rural areas, cabins and the like so we truly aren’t being sensitive and recognize that we are in a tropical island (which my friend lives here and has nothing like the amount of bugs at her house). I’d also like to mention that we were 2 women staying there with no curtains in a wall full of windows- no way to block light, sound, or have any sort privacy. The listing boasts it as “newly revitalized” and the handcrafted Balinese teak furniture, which were not a part of this unit- it was bare bones, with furniture more akin to IKEA than anything handcrafted. With the amount of money we paid- this was all pretty unacceptable. I would have preferred full transparency on the differences- and a change in price or given our option to choose another accommodation. I did reach out to the host, and she doesn’t seem to see any issue. SO- while I cannot speak of the quality on the actual listing, all I can say is RUN if you are offered anything other than what you are booking.

Beautiful location and very clean and comfortable space. The counters are beautiful and the other residents/guests were all so kind and welcoming. The sunsets and sunrises were absolutely gorgeous . This location is also perfect for escaping more touristy areas and experiencing more authentic Hawaiian culture. Kaya’s kitchen right across the street was the best Hawaiian breakfast we had on our whole trip. Giovanni’s shrimp truck and the other amazing food trucks located along Kamehameha highway were also to die for. The botanical garden is 15 minutes away, stunning view of all of the native plants and trees along with a mountain view as shared in the review. We even saw a sea turtle on shore right outside the building to the complex. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay and maximize our experience in Hawaii!! 10/10!!

Location was beautiful. Just steps to beach. The room had a wonderful breeze that came through. Very relaxing and not too many people on the beach. Perfect place to get away from everything

Cozy room, excellent location, wonderful beach. Thanks for the amenities like beach chairs, towels, and beach umbrella. We loved how quiet it was after noisy Honolulu. The room had everything we needed. Loved seeing turtles everyday/morning/night right in front of us on the beach and in the water. The ocean was safe even on a windy day. Food across the street was alright!

The picture shown no longer accurately depicts the view outside of the dining window. The lack of an ocean view due to vegetation overgrowth was disappointing.

The beach, and tranquility, could see whales from there!

The room is nice though the building itself isnt for the price, smelled some catpiss in the hall.
