The main bar is large with lots of available seating. Music and jukebox. Staff were polite and helpful. The accommodation was to the rear of the main pub, and whilst I stay at hotels on a regular basis for work, the accommodation here was excellent. Clean, tidy, nice little touches; overall, I was disappointed not to be staying longer. Definitely recommended.

"Easy one night stay and great night sleep!"

Despite the pub looking a little bit rough and ready (I’d had a long day and the football had been on!) was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room. The room was clean and fresh, couldn’t hear any noise from the pub at all which was great. Bed was super comfortable and slept better than I do at home so big winner there. Staff were friendly and attentive at check in and check out. I occasionally stay over in Buxton for work so will definitely look again.

Not the end of the world but the bathroom was a little on the small side and everything felt piled in a bit. Wasn’t huge issue though.

The staff are lovely - friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms (in a converted stable block at the back, so not over the pub) are modern and immaculately clean. And the cooked breakfasts are very good too!

Clean enough , comfortable enough and enough for a short stay, not luxurious hut it doesn't pretend to be good value in a super location.

Wooden floors so a little noise with early check outs , some bits weren't everso clean but overall it's good
