Staff were very nice and restaurant food good quality on the whole if a little expensive.

The central Aircon is antiquated and didn't work at all in the first room we were allocated. Thankfully the lady from reception was very helpful and moved us to a better room. At dinner, although our starters and my husband's lamb main were excellent, my more expensive 'Signature' dish of Fricassee of langoustine was very disappointing and definitely not value for money.

Comfortable bed and room. Locked storage for bikes. Enjoyed watching the family of coypou grazing and swimming nearby in the early morning.

Afternoon solar gain in late September was such that it got much too hot in a room facing the lake.
