Diamond Home Stay - Private Rooms

Good place on the whole, nice owner and non-touristy neighbourhood. Enough furniture in the room, mosquito nets on the windows. The bathroom gets cleaned often enough

It was not clear from the description that the bathroom is shared between 3 guests. And my room in particular was very noisy, looking out on a tiny but busy street - maybe one can check in advance with the owner if a quieter room is available

A place in a non-tourist area, with local people and local lifestyle. I loved my stay there, so peaceful and full of everyday life at the same time. There is a cool and laid back vibe there and the owners are great people. Basic room and amenities but it's a taste of real Nepal. I would have extended my stay but it was already booked!

I was a little apprehensive at first as this was my first time in Kathmandu and I was on my own but the whole family were unbelievably kind, caring, helpful & accommodating right from the start. They immediately made me feel so comfortable. They even showed me cool spots around the city which tourists wouldn't get to usually see / know of and were always quick to recommend other lesser known / less touristy places to visit / eat as well as the major cites. They even offer a full tour of the city at an exceptionally good price which includes transport. Whenever I were to message they would respond instantly with the utmost help. I also loved going up to the terrace in the mornings to stretch and soak up the morning sun - it really gave a really great perspective of the city and was very peaceful. The house was very quiet in the evenings and everyone was very respectful. Last but not least the price was exceptionally good value for money. I can't recommend this place enough. Being slightly further out from the very centre of the city (still close enough), I felt, gave me a much more authentic experience of the city where I could integrate myself more easily with the locals and form more genuine authentic connections with them.

Friendly, helpful host with great English. Very cool local neighborhood, not a tourist area. Nice chance to see how locals live in Kathmandu:-)
