The Fox Inn

The property was a great location for what we had planned the staff and food and drink was great very friendly. 4 ladies were able to share one room for a weekend away all together. The Burrow Social was on when we went and we all thoroughly enjoyed the street food and the atmosphere … music got better towards the end.

A little rough around the edges but added to its charm. We shared the family room in the coach house and maybe a small fridge and water in the room would be nice.

Location was perfect for us visiting family. Staff were excellent. Good size room with all amenities. Good breakfast with fresh fruit.

The only criticism was the noise from the bar. We know booking a room over a pub will be noisy and we are fine with that. However, we would expect the noise to abate after 12 midnight. The music stopped at 12 and then we had two hours until 2am of people shouting below our room. We could hear every word spoken and then prolonged good nights as they retired to their rooms. I do think, out of common courtesy all guests should be asked to respect other guests. We did not hear anyone ask these guests to quieten down and this was disappointing.

Exellent breakfast in the conservatory. We had our wedding reception there 10 years ago and Nick generously gave us a bottle of prosecco. Lovely personal touch and he remembered us aswell top bloke.

A couple of flys buzzing round us but that can't be helped.

The breakfast was excellent

The room was small ill equipped and noisy from Road. It was below zero outside but we could not shut the window because the electrics for the external Christmas tree had been plugged into an already overloaded extension lead in our room

Staff very friendly and welcoming

Room temperature was very cold , adjusted thermostat but knocked off every 1/2 hour

English breakfast provided, which was good, although limited on eggs choice, no cereals or pastries, marmalade, jams.
