Dass die Balkontüre nicht von außen geschlossen werden kann (normales Doppelzimmer). Der Service am Strand war sehr langsam. Haben teilweise 45 Minuten auf die Bestellung gewartet.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the harmonious architecture together with the breathtaking location is truly exceptional. The scents of flowers and herbs throughout the gardens across the entire property create such a wonderful atmosphere. Everywhere you look feels picturesque and almost unreal. The cleanliness of the rooms leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. The housekeeping team, who come by twice a day, do an outstanding job. In general, what deserves the highest praise is the wonderful staff, whose warmth and hospitality make this place shine even brighter. Thank you for such a memorable and relaxing stay — we cannot wait to return.

The setting is beautiful and the decor is aesthetically pleasing. The hidden beds around the property are really special and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast is truly one of the best that we’ve experienced with everything you could possibly desire. We did the buffet dinner twice and were really impressed by the high standards. A shout out to the gardeners who have taken beautiful care of manicuring and designing a space that feels full of life. We loved to see the pollinators in action. I also loved that the housekeepers didn’t replace the towels or bed linen unless requested, I’ve seen this not enforced in other eco friendly hotels and it was appreciated that they respected your wish to reuse your towels. I would like to highlight staff member Sofia who listened to some feedback I had about the room and took it onboard. She was wonderful and she ensured our last nights stay was changed and upgraded to a better room.

Unfortunately there are a few things that did taint our stay. Beach bed reserving is rampant at this resort. It cheapened the property when guests are allowed to put down their towels at god knows what time and then head up for breakfast and not appear for hours later. When questioned the hotel said they do have a policy in place that after 30 - 45 minutes they will move items. They also have a sign on some of the beds about this policy. I dread to think what it will be like in July or August. There were 2 days when we couldn’t get a beach bed (despite being down at 10am) to find the beach beds taken and no one sitting at them.

We had a wonderful stay at Minos Palace Resort and left with a very positive impression overall. Check-in was extremely fast and smooth. We arrived around 2 AM, and the staff handled everything perfectly — only the essential information and then directly to our room so we could rest after a long journey. As a welcome compliment, the room included fresh fruits and a salad, which was a lovely touch after traveling. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a beautiful sea view and balcony. We appreciated the coffee and tea facilities, daily complimentary water, excellent air conditioning, and twice-daily room service. The hotel grounds are stunning, almost like a botanical garden. The architecture blends beautifully with nature and creates a calm, luxurious atmosphere. The location is very peaceful and secluded, while the town center is still reachable on foot or by taxi. Breakfast was diverse and delicious, even after 10 days we still enjoyed it every morning. The staff were consistently polite, friendly, and professional. Before our departure they even asked if we needed a taxi to the airport. Security at the entrance was also very attentive, which made the resort feel safe and private. The fitness center is very good for basic training and also has an outdoor workout area. We would also recommend the wellness/spa area, which we really enjoyed. Overall, an excellent adults-only hotel for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Crete.

As for the negatives: the coffee at breakfast was unfortunately not very good in our personal opinion, although this was compensated by the capsule coffee machine in the room, which we enjoyed much more. We also had lunch once at the beach restaurant — the food was decent, but for the price we expected more, so we did not return a second time.
