Stylish 1-Bedroom Getaway in Sale

This was the second time we’ve stayed here. It is a flat in a newly refurbished block of flats over shops. It is very convenient for us visiting family in Sale and 5 minutes from the Metro. There are several issues that I raised after our last visit which are an easy fix but hadn’t been acted on The entrance is at the back of the building accessed by walking over a dirty uneven car parking area which is unlit. Not great if you arrive after dark

As reported before no mattress cover on the bed. It’s comfortable but you can feel the mattress tufts and it’s unhygienic. Last time I reported lack of cutlery and dishes and glasses. Cutlery fine now but not enough plates and bowls and only two odd tumblers. This time there were no tea towels so dishes had to drip dry. No oven gloves either so impossible to use oven We also only had one bath towel each and no hand towels. It’s a noisy location but we didn’t mind that. The flat is up stairs and this time the communal areas were dirty and needed a good hoover. There was a lot of rubbish bags around the car park. Fortunately you can go out front door but can’t get in that way unless someone in flat

The property was larger than expected modern and clean The area was well situated for public transport shops dining out alongside cafes and the Bridgewster Canal for walking also a Leisure Centre nearby.

Found it strange no washing machine and limited kitchenware also no wine glasses.

The apartment was clean and modern. The position was good being near to the metro link.

I rarely write much in the way of reviews but this property deserves its faults airing. The apartment has many, many niggling problems none of which were addressed by the management despite repeated requests. The fire alarms in the ceilings had plastic bags tied over them from a tiime when it was painted. They admitted the matter was "concerning" but never did anything about it. The TV works on catch up apps only so it is impossible to get live TV as there is no dish or antenna.. Possibly worst of all is that there is no control at all on the heating, it is on all the time (even though it was coming up to June) and much too hot. It seems to be supplied from a central unit for all the apartments and has no individual control. The temperature in the apartment was so high that I was waking up in the night in a sweat! I left all the windows open all day in a futile attempt to cool it down. Bring your own shower gel and hair shampoo as their "starter pack" consists of one tiny sachet of shower gel and one tiny piece of soap. I complained and they promised to send more, needless to say, it never arrived! All these things I made various requests for improvement or repair and was repeatedly assured that the "team" would be coming round to sort things out. Not a soul showed up at any stage. I was given all sorts of promises and assurances that various people would turn up at various times to sort things out but, as I came to expect, nothing ever happened. All their messages ended with the platitude "If there's anything else you need don't hesitate to contact us!" They never once did one thing to help or improve any of the faults and problems. The management company CoHost is based down in the south and whatever "team" they have is certainly not available locally to Sale. They were constantly polite and reassuring but that was as far as it went. 5:00 a.m.

Convenient place to watch the Manchester marathon. It was newly refurbished and had a nice shower room. The kitchen had a big fridge freezer, microwave, oven and hob. Nice big bed in bedroom but no mattress cover! It was a great place for us although the access was up quite steep stairs. We’re OAPs but we managed. The flat had an entry phone so you could nip to shops across the road and your friend could let you in again.

Wetherspoons is across the road so it’s a noisy location. Delivery vans arrive at 5am so not a peaceful location. This didn’t bother us The cutlery was in diffident. We only had one.tea spoon and one desert spoon so breakfast was operated. The plates etc were all odd and only 2 mugs 2 tumblers and no wine glasses.
