"A little gem up in the hills"

10.0

A beautiful, traditional house up in the hills with breathtaking views, from most windows and especially from the dining/living room window and upper floor windows. It has been refurbished to a high standard while retaining original features. The 2 bedrooms are on the lower ground floor and first floor with the communal living area on the ground floor. The house is warm, comfortable and quiet, apart from the lovely sound of cow bells. The wi-fi works well. Our host was friendly, helpful and always a phone call/text message away. This house is a little gem in a small village full of traditional buildings, houses and the typical Asturias storage sheds. You are 2 miles or so from Cangas but you feel as if you are in deepest Spain far from the tourist route. It is possible to walk to Cangas (my friend walked back up!) but a car is far better. My friend and I just loved it! I would highly recommend!

Bear in mind: there is a very steep (1 in 3?) short hill up to the parking space near the house. Our Fiat 500 just about managed it. This is not for the faint-hearted though certainly not a problem for me!
