The Italian lady who actually dealt with us was very nice. We had no idea what she was saying but she did try to help especially when it seemed Stephano went out of his way to avoid us.

We contacted our host the day before to advise what time we would arrive. He didn’t respond until after we had reached Scalea and parked our car. By that time, we were wandering around – totally lost and distressed. When we rang him and were upset, he interrupted and told us he couldn’t hear us but would send someone else – who spoke absolutely no English. The advertisement reads: 24 hours desk – rubbish Mini market – rubbish Electric kettle – rubbish No cups or glasses – drink the water out of a bottle. The place was very nice but the advertising false. I wouldn’t trust Stephano on this account.
