Good location in Sassenheim. Private room in a nice garden setting.

The room was smaller than we envisioned and is not set up to lounge around in and relax. It’s probably much better in the summer when the weather is warm and you can relax outside.

We had an amazing stay in this small, private house located in a secluded part of the garden, separated by a gate. Two charming and friendly Ragdoll cats roam in the garden, adding a delightful touch to the stay. The cleanliness was impeccable – everything was spotless. Bianca went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Breakfast was provided in the form of a set of plant-based products, carefully selected and stocked in the fridge, which was a great touch. We also appreciated the focus on sustainability, with waste sorting options available on-site. The town itself is quiet and peaceful, but with excellent transportation links. There are direct buses to Leiden, Haarlem, Schiphol Airport, and the nearby train station just one minute walk from the accommodation. A perfect retreat for anyone looking for a relaxing, eco-friendly stay!

We chose this property as it was close to Keukenhof Gardens, as well as other sights we wanted to visit. The accommodation is modern, clean, and private, with the added bonus of having driveway parking for our car. Our host, Bianca, was there to greet us when arrived, and provided us with enough food/drink for breakfast for the 4 nights we were staying there. Sassenheim itself is a charming town with local restaurants available (we particularly enjoyed eating at Eetcafe De Voogd).

The nearby church bell strikes every quarter of an hour (both day and night), but it was something we quickly got used to and it didn't affect our ability to sleep. There was also occasional noise from the block of garages behind the property, but again it didn't impact on us greatly, even when we were sat outside in the private patio area.

The cozy, modern and cleanness of the property was really remarkable and great. The behavior of the property owner was very respectful and unique. She had prepared a beautiful greeting card with kind words for our arrival.

My wife has a phobia of cats and she was a bit annoyed about it.

Our host: Bianca was extremely helpful and friendly! The location: a quiet town with shops and restaurants. We could reach The Hague and other places easily. A beautiful park is only a short walk away. The breakfast: vegan and with options for every wish. The bathroom: quite modern, it had everything one could need. Parking: since we traveled by car, it was a HUGE plus for us to have free parking.

Our holiday was too short!

It was modern, well appointed, clean, and well-located. Bianca left delicious and healthy items for breakfast. She was delightful to talk with. We also liked that the room was on a single level, with no stairs.
