Casa das Flores - no Parque Natural Guadiana

Fantastic accomodation with all the amenities available that one needs in order to feel at home, having the possibility to cook, rest etc. There were extra blankets, pillows and sheets, for in case we were to get cold (but the house is well isolated, so it was a pleasant temperature.) The place was very clean, we couldn't have asked for more. Additionally, the host Ana was super welcoming, providing tips for the area, what to do and even showed us around in the neighbouring village. She also made sure to be available for any question we might have. The location of Casa das Flores is amazing, completely remote surrounded by nature, with spectacular views. The village is adorable and so peaceful that you always hear birds, you see pets walking around by themselves... very cozy. By car it takes less than 10 minutes to be in Mertola, which is a little bigger and also offers a lot for sightseeing, restaurants etc.

I didn't like that our stay was so short, as we would have loved to explore the area and local more, but it gives us a reason to go back!

A pleasant rural location in a small village. Very quiet apart from occasional barking dogs. Very friendly welcome + bottle of local wine. Simple rustic accommodation with large, comfortable double bed and shower with good supply of hot water. As many gadgets as most could dream of. Keeps cool in hot weather.

Electricity supply did not allow for all equipment to be run at the same time - i.e. elec. hob, fan heater, kettle etc. though the heater would not normally be used in the main season. Small windows meant not much natural light. Requires better electric light for reading in evenings. Would have preferred two comfortable chairs to the chaise long. Wi-fi very poor so had to go to Mertola at times for this.

The fully equipped kitchen. Coffee on the house. No Wi-Fi allowed us to disconnect and enjoy the stay way more. The possibility of actually using the fireplace and good wood provided (even with extra payment). Good renovation and design of the use, using rocks and old wood to decorate the walls.

Despite the effort made with the two "windows" on the roof, there was not much light inside the house. The bath door was broken, and we couldn't close it. The sofa in the room was very uncomfortable, as we could feel all the wood in our butts, forced to use pillows like one of the uploaded photos shows. Where the bed was put left with very little space on one side of the bed.

This property exceeded our expectations. The apartment has unique style and beautiful fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked. The village is small, peaceful with coffee place just 1 minute walk away.

No freezer and full oven . No oven trays and dishes .
