Black Serpent 3BR Villa with Jacuzzi in Uluwatu

Unique, sophisticated and authentic villa. Gorgeously designed, very elegant and spacious. 5 min walk away from main street and lots of great restaurants, shops.

Villa is surrounded by construction. Feels a bit like it’s one of the very few villas that were finished while the entire neighborhood is under construction. You can hear sounds of construction through the entire day. 2nd floor of villa is not secluded, doors and windows cannot be closed hence filled with mosquitoes. Open staircase is dangerous for kids. You cannot sleep there

The place was stunning and fully functional. Everything far exceeded expectations from the beautiful design to the extremely helpful staff.

Absolutely nothing, was perfect in every way

Location was good and loved the outdoor living.

Great location and the villa is beautiful. Very luxe. 2 main bedrooms and bathrooms are gorgeous! The pool, floating chair, lounge beds, amenities, details to order in food, daily room service… all great.

The third bedroom is completely impractical - the floating stairs up to it are dangerous (especially for children) and as it’s in the roof there’s a huge wooden beam going right across the stairs that you have to duck under to access the room. Also there’s no mosquito net above the bed and as the villa is an open concept (no walls) there were a lot of mozzies up there. We had to share a bed in the end as we were just unable to use this room. Spa wasn’t working.

My wife and I had an incredibly relaxing time in the wonderful villa. The key handover was super flexible thanks to the friendly staff. This place really invites you to relax and unwind. Personally, I found the bathroom very nicely decorated and the kitchen is also a dream for passionate cooks. I also enjoyed the fact that you have the opportunity to go into the shade or into the sun all day long, as you can enjoy the sun in the whirlpool on the roof until the end. My wife was very happy about the yoga mats and the peace and privacy is absolutely guaranteed. My wife is a flight attendant and travels around a lot. For her, this house, including the optimal location, was the most beautiful place so far. We would love to come back again, maybe also with our friends as we absolutely wanna show it to them and the villa is big enough for all of us.

This is a really stylish villa but definitely style over substance. Firepit was set up for us on asking and that was really nice. Complimentary toiletries and hairdryers.

This villa is absolutely NOT beachfront - nearest 2 beaches a good 15 minute walk away. Only 1 cushion by pool, no sun loungers. We had to get the cushions down from the upstairs deck area. The pool is nice but smallest we came across in 4 different villas. They leave food (rice, chillies, apples) out as part of the 'styling' but this is spread over the floor every morning by unidentified animals (we saw a rat running around the fence on the first night). There is a hot & cold water machine which was good but had run out on our last morning so no drinks available. Air con pipes constantly leaking so huge pools of water in the kitchen and by one bedroom every day. They left our key in the lockbox completely unlocked one day after cleaning. Biggest issue is the constant noise from the construction site next door and other construction site two doors away the other side. Went all day from 8am til evening. Also meant the upstairs deck area was filthy, including the jacuzzi (bath big enough for 2 tiny people), and the view was of a construction site. Floors are extremely slippy so would say a definite no for anyone with children. Everything very dark so pretty impossible to read at night in the bedrooms. We made the best of this place as it was our last stay before leaving Bali but I would not recommend until the construction sites are finished, it really was a constant loud noise. Definitely the worst by far of the 4 villas we stayed in on Bali, although it was the most expensive (admittedly Uluwatu is dear but still....) Staff very helpful and pleasant, but not really anything they could do.

I had a super host experience. They took so much care of us, being super responsive before any doubt or questions about the area. By the way, the location was the best, near everything and walking distance from so many happening places! The decorations and the whole vibe of the villa was crazy, super witchy and Boheme, loved it. Very special place! 100% recommended.

Every place has its own flaws, of course. But overall the stay was amazing and we enjoyed soooo much!
