FINN VILLAGE Loch Lomond Villa - THE BLACK ROOM with Private Jacuzzi-Style Bath

The house itself is lovely with some stunning features, especially the fire places and staircase. It sits in a remote area with stunning views.

The property has the potential to be stunning! However, we found it to be a bit dated. We couldn’t help but feel we were staying in someone’s home with all the personal photos etc around the place. As a result, we didn’t really venture out of our room. No bar, restaurant… and so far out the way we couldn’t even ‘Just Eat’ dinner! The hosts did however provide a telephone number for a takeaway.

It was our most poshest B&B we stayed at during our 7 stays at different B&B's while in Scotland. Kate was super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was top notch! Maybe one suggestion, the vase of beautiful roses blocked our view of the people across the dining table that we were trying to talk to during breakfast. Another location in the dining room would be better. It was only a short drive to Glasgow airport, the views were breath taking. The bathroom was MASSIVE, complete with a bidet, and jetted jacuzzi tub plus a separate shower.

Finn VIllage would have scored a 10/10 but there was one thing that it knocked it down a few pegs. The first night we were there, my wife and I were trying to watch a movie and the sound kept going down. I would use the remote to bring the sound back up (just to a level where we could hear it) and this kept repeating, then the movie would skip forward, then the tv turned off on it's own. I asked the other couple that was staying there the next morning if they had been using there tv remote around 9:30pm, and they said yes, but they couldn't get their tv to work. The next night, we tried to go to sleep at 7pm as we had an early flight out of Glasgow the next day. Our tv turned on, the volume went up. We tried to turn it off, but it kept on coming back on. There was another 3 new couples that came in that night. We had to put our airplane ear phones in to try to sleep. Please have our tv remote situation fixed as this was very annoying!

A really nice place to stay to start our road-trip around Scotland. Just a short drive from Glasgow. quiet, comfortable, and a fabulous breakfast.

This was a little bit of an unusual place. The view from the sunroom was absolutely lovely and we watched a beautiful sunset. When we asked to use the hot tub, we were told it would be a £40 pp charge when we thought this would be included in our overnight stay. Apparently, we were some the first guest of the season, and the only guests that evening. The owners of Finn Village were very kind and provided us with a lovely hot breakfast with eggs to order. There were chocolates and candies literally everywhere and you could take as much as you liked, which was a nice touch. The orange juice, milk and waters in the mini fridge in the room were included, which was also very nice. There were more glasses in the room than we could possibly use, like a minibar would have, it cracked us up. The coffee pot wasn’t plugged in, and I didn’t pick up on this right away, so I wasted a bunch of time trying to figure out a device that I would ultimately have to crawl under the desk to plug in. Just a little oversight, thank goodness I’m not elderly. Overall a nice stay. The young man that helped take our bags to our room was kind and listened to our recommendations for future guests.

We were guided to a restaurant and ended up in a different town with the same name. When we finally found the restaurant it was packed, but they were able to seat us in the bar, unfortunately the Scottish fare was underwhelming, one of our worst meals in Scotland. I think we should’ve gotten the pizza there like everyone around us.

Room was spacious with a lovely jacuzzi bath. Staff were extremely customer focussed, special mention to Adrian, Sakina and Kasia. Breakfast was excellent.

The grounds were lovely, the staff were friendly.

The room was needing a bit of maintenance, the jacuzzi bath drain did not keep the water in so we only managed about 10 minutes before we had to come out.

I feel happy at the beautiful and picturesque home. They are so kind. I recommend it strongly
