Spacious, Central Townhouse with Hot Tub & Free Parking

Lovely location, beach, restaurants and shops

Terrible smell hung about middle level the whole time.Horrible sticky and smelly upstairs kitchen so spent time cleaning the downstairs one as best we could and used that. Ovens never been cleaned and caked with burnt on layer. Dirty and sticky everywhere including walls and light switches . No toilet seat fitted properly, no proper hooks or mirrors, minimal utensils ie no chopping board or peeler, and only enough for one thing for each person, no dishwasher so spent much time washing up. All crockery and utensils had to be washed before use as plainly put away dirty. Crockery chipped , both fridges sticky with dirt and had dirty floors. Musty bedding and replacements difficult to find had to ring contact for help, found stained “clean” towels, ill fitting sheets. Uneven and sticky floors, broken furniture a chair , light fitting and bedside cabinet also broken slats and wheel on trundle bed. Weird wobbly table in studio that spilled everything on it but design meant it fell through and so all edges sticky and dirty. Rip in upstairs sofa and not enough chairs for all to sit at table so didn’t use that room much. Garden strewn with rubbish including a dirty bath mat hanging on the fence. Rubbish and dust behind sofa bed. Spent time hoovering. Plumber unable to fix one shower and condemned it as dangerous. Tiny showers and poor water pressure . Stairs steep and shallow and unsuitable for small children or if have mobility issues. The studio needed blackout blinds as shop front and the existing blinds were too light. A squeeze to have 3 cars in front. Nowhere to put rubbish bags out as all bins already full. No instructions about laundry or rubbish. Because of all this too wary to use hot tub. Contacted owner to talk to him about all this but he did not respond. Could not believe that any tradesperson walked away from their finished job saying “that was a job well done! I want my money back!!

Great space indoors and outdoors. Hottub was brilliant. Loads of eating places and shops right outside. Great parking. Even though you are next to everything it's very quite.

Honestly couldn't fault it. It's not a new build so obviously you could go around nit picking little improvements but we loved it and will definitely book again

We loved the location. Being right next to everything and minutes from the beach was great. The house was spacious and nicely decorated. The beds were quite comfortable and everything was spotless. Parking for three cars outside was fabulous and stress free. The hot tub was an added bonus for some of us. There was plenty of hot water and the heating was great. There is a fabulous secure garden with decent comfortable garden furniture.

The stairs were understandably steep, obvious when you see the layout of the house inside. Although the heating and hot water worked a treat there was no instructions for the boiler. It was an easy switch on or off on the timer, once we'd figured out how to work it, but simple instructions could have made it instant. There was absolutely no hanging space in the double bedroom on the first floor which was a pain. All the shower units were very neat in size. We were one big family of 3 individual families and we are a variety of shapes and sizes and we all found them very tight. No mirror in first floor bathroom. Hubbie had to bend down to use the mirrored panels on the shower door when shaving! Think other showers were the same. The couch in the living room was quite uncomfortable. We were in most nights as we had youngsters in our party so we were sitting for a long time. The kitchen wasn't particularly well equipped. We had to buy a teapot. Had also to buy a fishslice as the cheap wooden one provided wouldn't have turned a fried egg! There seemed to be only the minimum amount of kitchenware and utensils provided. Luckily, because we were renting the whole house, we could borrow some teacups, tumblers and cutlery from the downstairs self contained flat as there were only 5 cups in the upstairs kitchen when we arrived! There was no washing machine in the property, although it dosent list one on Booking.com. Just seemed unusual for a large property like this with lots of people staying together. We managed ok without as, because it was cold we weren't swimming so we didn't have dirty beach towels to wash, but would definitely have missed it in warmer weather as we'd have had sandy clothes too. There is little or no soundproofing between the first floor bathroom and the kitchen which backs on to it. My last gripe is that we only had one set of keys between all of us.
