"A little gem of a hide away"

10.0

We loved the cosy cottage vibe. We had our own garden for our puppy and plenty of outdoor seating ( cushions & blankets provided) you have your own parking space. The location was spot on near to The New Forest where we really enjoyed some lovely lunch and dinners. You can reach many attractions from the cottage ,beaches motor museum poultons fishing lakes etc are all in easy reach. We visited some of the beautiful villages. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning. Our host Catherine was warm and welcoming and had provided a lovely book which was full of information and the history of this beautiful grade 2 listed building.

"Good and bad."

6.0

Beautiful surroundings, lovely to have a fenced garden area. Great warm water tap for cleaning the mucky dog.

There is not enough internal space for all the equipment they provide. The fridge is tiny and hidden in a cupboard, it won't hold much if you want to prepare meals at the cottage. I think it would be best to use as a bed and breakfast. Unfortunately due to the listed building architecture I hit my head several times going up the stairs.

"Nice cottage and great location!"

10.0

A perfect 2 night stay to visit the new forest. Our dog liked the private garden adjacent and the doggy shower that was recently installed - good for washing off muddy paws! The air fryer was a nice touch too, perfect for doing our toddlers nuggets and chips! Thanks Catherine for your hospitality! Hope to be back again sometime

"Probably lovely in warmer weather."

8.0

Location was good for exploring New Forest, Motor Museum and National Trust properties. Lots of hot water for a bath, but the bathroom itself was cold due to the radiator not working initially.

Couldn’t understand how the radiators worked as they didn’t seem to work together. Heating on at limited times so we needed to buy 4 bags of logs to use in the fire to keep warm in the evening.

A very pleasant cottage in beautiful surroundings with easy access to the New Forest, towns and villages. It was a pleasure to meet Catherine, who provided helpful information regarding local places of interest .

There is nothing to dislike.
