Pablo, the host, was really nice, but unfortunately, upon arrival, I was told the air conditioning was broken. I had specifically booked a place with AC due to the high temperatures in Jerez. Pablo is friendly, and the location is excellent. The terrace needs some TLC, but it’s really nice

The air conditioning was broken, and I was told this had Just happened. However, I saw other reviews mentioning the same issue before and after my stay, which suggests it’s been going on for a while. Despite that, they still list “air conditioning” as an available facility on their booking page, which is quite misleading. I was offered a bed in the living room, as apparently there was more air flowing in the evenings. However, the bed provided was not comfortable at all, and I didn’t sleep there, it wasn’t what I paid for. I must say I didn’t sleep well any of the nights during my stay. Had I known there was no functioning air conditioning, I wouldn’t have booked this place. There were also ants in the flat, as soon as you leave any food out of the fridge, they appear everywhere. That said, I ate out every day, and from what I saw, the kitchen is very poorly equipped. While the stairs are quite steep (which might be an issue for some), that wasn’t a problem for me. What stood out more is that the place needs some TLC. It feels more like an old flat being rented out as-is than the average standard I’m used to when booking an apartment. Ah, check-in is at 5pm.. The biggest issue by far was the aircon. There had been a leak on the roof, and you could see that some smoke had come out of the connection. It didn’t feel safe and really affected the comfort of my stay.
