Snowberry Cottage No 2

Reading the previous reviews, I had fairly good expectations about this place but the reality of staying there exceeded all of them. The cottage is super comfortable, with a real feel of ’home’. The rooms and the bathrooms are very spacious and we found ourselves really looking forward to getting back to it after our daily trips, sitting in the extremely cosy living room and enjoying the quiet and peace of the area. The kitchen was well equipped ( the only thing we found was missing when we arrived were oil and kitchen roll) and so efficient and the layout of the whole space so inviting. The pictures do not do it justice! The weather was very cold during our stay but the cottage was so warm ( at times even too warm :) ), the heating easy to regulate and the water pressure and temperature absolutely perfect! We travelled with our dog and our cat, so I can confirm that the host is 100% pet friendly and they were always available to answer any questions and they responded promptly. The location was absolutely perfect for us and to wake up to a white blanket of snow covering the surroundings added a layer of magic to our time there. On one morning we thought we would not be able to drive out as the road was icy and covered in snow, but luckily there was a road salt container at the top of the street which was really helpful. Honestly, one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. Would absolutely stay here again!

Honestly nothing. If I really had to point out something, as mentioned above, the only missing thing was kitchen roll and oil.

Cottage was very warm and comfortable, plus very accessible - so ideal for my elderly Mum who has limited mobility. Location is easy to access, a peaceful setting to the front, yet close to a major route to Fort William (some occasional traffic noise on a night when in the bedrooms at the back of the cottage, but not excessive) and therefore very central for visiting our favorite parts of Scotland. Also only a few minutes walk to the Loch-side for an easy early morning walk with the dog.

Parking for No 2 Snowberry cottage is right outside the kitchen window for No 1. Although there is plenty of space elsewhere, I needed to park close to the cottage for my elderly Mum as she struggles on gravel. Additional towels would have been useful (e.g. an extra hand towel for wet hair after a shower).

We love the cottage and had.a wonderful stay. The cottage is spacious, super clean, and comfortable. It takes a short walk to the beach that offers beautiful scenery. It is also very convenient to visit attractions near both Glencoe and Fort William. Will definitely choose it again if there is an opportunityto come back in.the futute.

A lovely cottage with plenty of room and grass for our pooches. In a great location for exploring the area.
