Casa muito moderna e bem equipada.

Muito difícil de acesso com o carro. Fica numa rua íngreme e o acesso a rampa de casa está feito de maneira que os carros mesmo altos patinam para entrar.

Leuk appartement. Prima locatie. Wel steile weg naar boven. Mooie terrassen.

2 douches is weinig voor grote groep. Boven kamer kun je geen kleding ophangen.

Positives: The arrival and the departure went without hiccups. Despite the high price, the house looked nice. And it is not too far from centre, but not really a short stroll. This is the length of positives I can list.

The stay went downhill from the start. Right on the first evening we discovered ants inside the house. Sometimes they would advance in small units, to be exterminated with tactically applied paper towels, sometimes they would try to brute force their way in through the strength in numbers. Like a horde they would try to overrun us through the cracks of the house. We spent hours removing them. This would accompany us for the whole stay. But it got worse. Shortly after, on a day with strong winds, the sun sails around the house started flying everywhere. Which wasn't a surprise, because when we checked, we saw that they weren't mounted and secured in any way. They would hit the windows, making a horrifying racket. It was a miracle one didn't come crashing into the living room. What wasn't a miracle, though, was when one of them flew off the roof into the power cables above the house, which cut the power to the house. It rained throughout the day, and so we spent the whole time inside, in the dark and without power or heating, waiting for someone to show up and fix the problem. It was winter, so the cold and the dark crept in quite fast. No help was offered by the owners, other than the assurance that the problem would be fixed soon. Soon it wasn't. And so, we wasted one whole day, waiting around. Cold and miserable, completely in the dark, we decided to contact booking.com and ask for advice, and they suggested to us to switch to another location/hotel. When we communicated that to the house owner, she convinced us to stay by offering to pay us back for the day. It was late and so we decided to stay, despite being almost out of the door. Afterwards, when we contacted the owner about our agreement, she offered to reimburse us only half of the day-rate instead, which we then reluctantly agreed to. And this is when our contact stopped, the owner ghosted us, stopped replying to any messages, and has not sent us any reimbursement.
