Splav Wake at the lake

Quaint, quirky, floating lodge - think glamping on water! The owners are lovely,  very helpful people.  Just ask if you need help with anything.  Lovely views (if you ignore the drifting debris on the water).  NOTE: 300 dinar per day for national park access to get to the house. House included use of small boat and paddle board. Owners kindly arranged for a fishing rod (though you need a license to fish here - the rangers do periodically check). No spare tackle or bait, so you'll need to sort that yourself.

Off grid - ie 12v, filtered river water for washing, spring water brought in for drinking. Noisy water pump. Inverter fan noisy. Loud alarm when voltage drops. Had to turn it off to get full night's sleep. Fridge runs off inverter. Owner should get a 12v or gas fridge! Bedroom lights flicker and turn off if voltage too low - probably a wiring issue. Don't expect power on dull, wet days, especially over multiple days. Access is not suitable for people with low mobility or young children. Steep steps, and raft without handrails. No handrail to patio area. Single cooker ring, no oven, though can use external gas BBQ and hood. No kettle, so have to cook water. No bath. Shower has narrow entrance, so not suitable for larger folk. Same with toilet - bit of a squeeze! At times, very noisy neighbours. Some people come here to rest and enjoy the peace. Some can't cope with silence and peace so need to have music on all day. Sad.

A few little things need to be repaired, shower is.leaking when using... Due to the vegetation, the windows were a bit stuck, so nothing tragic.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The hosts are incredibly warm, friendly, and hospitable. They've put so much care and attention into every detail of this floating house, creating a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The peaceful surroundings made for a truly relaxing three days. The scenic views of the lake and mountains, the magical nights with an endless sky full of stars - it is the perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind in nature. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable experience!
