Pacific Beach Boho Retreat 3 blocks to Ocean

The location is great, the unit is lovely and there's nothing about the unit to significantly criticise it.

Unfortunately the unit backs on to an alleyway and based on our experience bins are emptied on that alley every morning between 7 and 8am (it happened on the 4 mornings we were there), this can affect sleep. We had a problem with the door lock which hopefully the host will rectify for the future

De locatie, op loopafstand van de pier van Pacific Beach. Ook centraal gelegen, 15 min naar alle toeristische attracties. Hele goede service want toen de koffie op was, stond het 30 minuten later voor de deur

Het was nogal luidruchtig. De eerste avond was er een feestje buiten en elke ochtend was er om 6 uur enorme herrie achter het huis. Er stond dan ook een pot oordopjes in de kast. Omdat wij het luchtbed in de huiskamer moesten leggen, was er een ruimte om in het huis te eten. Maar goed ook, want er was geen vaatwasser. Jammer ook dat we alles een trap op moesten sjouwen

Only upside is the proximity to the beach, but even that doesn’t make it worth it. We ended up moving to hotel and driving to Pacific Beach.

They have bedbugs. Host is aware and tried to claim they were dead after recent pest control. After being told it was very much alive and crawling on their sheets they just offered bug spray?? Refused to refund us for our stay, told us to contact booking.com and then would not answer booking.com attempts to reach them. Their solution was to adjust our reservation for 1 night off our 4 night stay despite us moving out promptly upon discovering infestation.

The location was great. Lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance.

Notes: 1011 Hornblend Street Both bathroom sinks drain very slowly, bathroom napkin holder was broken, no fabric softener provided, no bath soap provided, wall by washing machine is damaged, baseboard near shower is damaged, tv volume was stuck at 35 - manually had to change the volume from the TV monitor every time, the fan in the living room makes a very loud noise No sugar provided

The property location was perfect. It was a 5 minute walk to pacific beach and 1/2 minute walk from food shops and restaurants. The hosts were really helpful and communicated quickly in answering any queries. This property was spacious for a group of 8. Would highly recommend, as property was very clean upon arrival and allowed us to have a pleasant stay in San Diego.

Proximity to the beach and plenty of places to dine or just grab a few things.

Only negative is the parking. I just feel the ad needs to be more clear that it could be troublesome. Couple times I had to drop my partner and son off to circle around to find places. Eventually got somewhere but not ideal.
