Very cute, air conditioned room, great bed, excellent cooking. (Take advantage of her dinners!) There are two full bathrooms to share with other rooms. The location couldn’t be better and the view is beautiful. They are offering boat tours and bicycles to rent. (It’s perfect to visit the stunning Hua Ma cave 6 km away.) Laundry service is provided. Communication through Google Translate, it can be tricky sometimes.
The evenings are noisy (it sounds like there is a karaoke place nearby) until about 21:30. In the morning the roosters are crowing. These noises, however, will apply to all accommodations in Pac Ngoi.

"位置不錯，晚上中庭10分漂亮，且可以結交不少朋友晚餐可由主人協助，餐點好吃量足夠，但價錢稍微貴，最後一天才知道價錢，如果當下有先講清價錢(對於當地來說稍微貴一點而已)，可能感受不會這麼深。租車非常貴，不知道是否跟偏遠地區有關，SAPA租機車"

Wat een heerlijke plaats om te verblijven. We kwamen hier toe na een lange dag op de fiets. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en kregen een eenvoudige maar erg propere kamer aan de achterzijde van het huis (met airco en muskietennet). Het terras heeft een erg mooi uitzicht op de velden, het meer en de bergen. De Homestay wordt gerund door de heel erg lieve dame des huizes en haar echtgenoot. We werden uitgenodigd om ‘s avonds meer Vietnamese rijst-cakes te maken en maakten ook kennis met de familie die er op bezoek dag. We aten 2x fantastisch lekker. We maakten ook een erg leuke boottocht met de echtgenoot naar enkele mooie plekken in de omgeving (grotten, tempel, eiland).

"Great host & surroundings in a less discovered part of Vietnam with good options for a 2-3 day stay"

Conveniently located in a village where host can arrange day long boat trips on the lake & rivers, hire a bicycle to ride to nearby caves (6km). Nice view from the dining/ common area. Was quiet when we stayed. Good homecooked food. Host is friendly & attentive. Two bathrooms upstairs with good hot showers. Ba Be is off the tourist trail and not overcrowded.
Need some more comfortable chairs to relax in the shared area.
