Guests highly rate the beautiful location and stunning views on seaforth loch and frequently praise the management offered a partial refund for issues (responsive action).
GBBeautiful setting on the banks of Seaforth Loch.
Building is basic and in need of a refurbishment in parts. Experienced a water leak, which resulted in loss of shower room. No cold water to downstairs bathroom WHB and broken loo seat. Part refund offered and accepted for poor WiFi.
GBThe location and views from this property are stunning.
It was dirty, poorly maintained, there is far more wrong with this property than right. All the furniture is old and shabby. Carpets and floors filthy. Dust and grime everywhere. It clearly hasn’t been cleaned properly in a very long time. Cold tap not working in bathroom, bathroom door broken and no lock. When we first arrived we had to empty the dishwasher of the previous guests dishes. The handsoap in bathroom had run out so they had just filled it up with water instead of replacing it. Same with the washing up liquid in kitchen. No dishcloths or dish towels available. No iron or ironing board.
GBStunning location. Property is a bit old-fashioned but perfectly good and well-equipped. Some very generous host bits in the living room.
GBThe house itself was clean, tidy, comfortable and warm. The equipment in the kitchen all worked well. The garden had wild plants, thistles, nettles etc good for wildlife. Although I am not sure they needed to be in the middle of the gravel. There were butterflies and bumble bees and several birds with nestlings. There was a good view over the loch. Sitting in the sun, on a couple of pallets, (avoiding the nettle) watching the wildlife is what we wanted and, weather permitting, is what we got. Abbie who looks after the house was absolutely excellent. Good WiFi when we worked out how to turn it on.
First impression was not promising as the entrance was quite difficult to manage. There were overgrown shrubs which made getting the car through the gate quite tricky.a. A certain amount of rubbish, including an unfinished mug of tea were the first things we saw. The photograph does not reflect the surrounding shrubs and trees it needs to be updated. Although the kitchen was well equipped it was lacking a decent size teapot, a milk jug. A couple of smaller pans would not go amiss. There was a general feeling that the house was in the process of being modernised IE half painted doors. Not sure about the décor but each to their own taste. Both bath/shower rooms were not next to the bedrooms, so it could be advisable to have a dressing gown.
USQuiet,Nice View,Clean and comfortable beds
This property needs attention. There was sawdust about, unfinished painting projects, no toiletries or coffee pot provided and no television service. The email we were sent had incorrect location directions and incorrect wi-fi Passcode. I’m sure it has potential but needs work
