Olde Judge Mansion B&B

The stunning entry hall of tiger oak gives a glimpse of Troy in its grander days. The host offers a hearty home-cooked breakfast. Designated parking spot in lot behind the property. Clear enough instructions for late arrivals. This B&B may not be everyone’s cup of (home-brewed) tea, but we liked the old-timey-boarding-house atmosphere.

One of the twin beds was a bit creaky. We were glad to have had read some of the reviews on Booking ahead of time, which helped us clarify our expectations. Guests seek different things in their overnight accommodations. This place has character, and so does the neighborhood.

Tina, the host, was absolutely a doll! She left us notes on how exactly to get in and where our room would be, along with prior conversations on parking. The area was quiet and with a convenient store across the street made it easy to get anything we missed while packing. The room (honestly, the house as a whole) was clean and well maintained, you feel homily as you walk in. Breakfast was delicious, even though we only attended one breakfast out of our two mornings, we were disappointed we wanted more sleep. There were stacks of games and movies, lounge areas, and a very kid-welcoming atmosphere (we did not have kids with us). This is the spot to stay at! I would recommend staying here to anyone, family or individuals, and will be booking here for my next trip.

I wouldn't say I disliked anything. If you have any medical issues that make stairs a risk, I would reach out first, as the rooms seem to start on the second floor, but that is all I would be concerned with.
