The resort is located in a beautiful setting with attractive lodges and peaceful surroundings. The Scandinavian Lodge was spacious, clean, and well-presented, and the overall site has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it appealing for a family getaway. The maintenance team also repaired the cooker the following day once the issue was reported. However, what let the experience down was the poor customer service. After a long drive from Scotland, we discovered that the cooker in our lodge was not working, leaving us unable to prepare the food we had brought with us. We were told that nothing could be done because the resort was fully booked, and no alternative solution was offered for the first night. Although the cooker was fixed the next day, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience when we checked out, and no clear complaints process when we asked how to raise our concerns. The location and accommodation were good, but the lack of customer care significantly impacted our stay.

What I didn't like was the way our issue was handled. We travelled from Scotland and booked a Scandinavian Lodge specifically because it had self-catering facilities. Before arriving, we purchased groceries for our stay, only to discover that the cooker in our lodge was not working when we tried to prepare dinner on our first evening. When we reported the problem, we were told that nothing could be done because the resort was fully booked. No alternative cooking facilities, accommodation, or practical solution was offered, leaving us unable to cook the food we had brought with us after a long journey. The cooker was eventually repaired the following day, but the lack of support and communication was disappointing. What frustrated us most was the customer service. Nobody apologised for the inconvenience, and when we handed back the keys at check-out, staff did not acknowledge the issue or ask whether it had been resolved satisfactorily. When we asked how to make a formal complaint, we were told there was nowhere to raise one. Problems can happen anywhere, but the way guests are treated when things go wrong is what matters, and unfortunately we felt our concerns were largely ignored.

This was a last minute booking for a business trip, i was running late due to the closure of the A30, i received a very helpful phone call, detailing my options with Reception soon closing. The Pod itself, was spotless with a fantastic view over a small lake and it was very relaxing to sit in my own hot tub watching the sunset, a very pleasant way to unwind after a long day.

The property was very spacious - we booked the Signature 3 bed lodge. There are some nice trails to walk from on site, good for if you have a dog. The restaurant on site had amazing food everything looked quality but just the pizza wasn’t very nice. The lodge was overall very clean, has everything you need - dishwasher tablets, tea towel, scissors etc. Robes were supplied for each of us - LOVE! Unfortunately the weather wasn’t very nice but nevertheless we had a brilliant stay.

Pizza at on site restaurant was not great (margarita) the tomato puree was like tinned tomatoes so it was mushy, watery, top would just slide off in one piece. As for the property there were some scuffs and scrapes on cupboards and walls but expected in a dog friendly lodge, it didn’t take away from the niceness of the lodge.

The location and the overall environment of the property were good.

We booked the stay for 5 guests, but we were provided with only 4 blankets. As a result, one of us couldn't sleep at all during the night due to the lack of proper bedding. This was very disappointing and irresponsible management.
