Really friendly family. Great Sri Lankan breakfast and will cook dinner for you if required. Comfortable room upstairs with ac and it’s own balcony.

A bit more out of Marissa than I realised. Had to catch a bus bit easy enough.

Such a lovely place to spend the night!! Me and my partner had all the top floor for ourselves and it felt very private and safe. The Owner is very welcoming and cooked for us a yummy dinner and offered us breakfast in the morning. I especially enjoyed the nice lighting and the view of the garden from the balcony. Also the position it's pretty good, at night if you are outside you can hear the ocean rolling on the beach. Having had more time in Merissa I would have spent more time in R home stay as it really felt homy and comfortable! Highly recommended!!

I wish I could have stayed longer.

The family was very friendly, caretaking and welcoming. They helped us to rent a scooter and prepared us breakfast every morning. They also gave us a second bed linen, when we asked for one. We also got a welcome juice. If needed, the owner will arrange surf lessons for you. As it was the daughters birthday, we got some cake as well. The guesthouse is close to the main road and you can easily catch a bus to the town center or any other regional destination. If you cross the street, you have access to a beach. Thank you for your hospitality!

Unfortunately the water pressure in the shower was very low. So we felt that we couldn't clean ourselves properly. The toilet lid was loose and many ants have been in the bathroom. Due to the location at the main road, some people might perceive it as quite noisy.
