Tucked between the sea and the busy road of Candidasa, once you are inside the property, you barely hear the traffic. Watching the crabs climbing the wall escaping from the wave was my entertainment, along with the view of passing fast boats, and children playing kites.

Breakfast is quite basic. And not about the property, but when the Candidasa board walk project will eventually arrived in front of the cottage, it will be quite a noise. Although of course, that will not be a permanent thing, the project. At this stage, the activity seems to be on and off.

Temple cottages offer a peaceful garden setting and great ocean views. The restaurant serves very reasonably priced, fresh and delicious food. I loved being able to dine by the ocean. The staff are friendly and the simple rooms are clean and great value for money.

I have just had a 2 night stay at this lovely hotel. I booked a standard room, basic but had everything I needed. A fridge would have been nice, but I did opt for the standard room. Excellent value for money, lovely staff & great location. If I could add one thing, it would be a pool, but really didn't miss it. The outside area is beautiful overlooking the beach with a choice of seating, staff waiting on you to bring food & drink if you do not want to eat in the main restaurant. Would definitely recommend Temple Cafe & Cottages

Nothing to dislike, a lovely older authentic hotel .... maybe as I mentioned a pool would be nice, but if you want to swim, there's a great big ocean right there 👍

Lovely cottages, right on the water, the views are terrific, come just for this! So nice to wake up next to the sea. The staff are lovely, the rooms are clean. Yes it’s basic but you get what you pay for! Even provide a kettle and tea, coffee, water in the rooms.
